Antonio Vivaldi - My Favorite Composer! by Rit

I play viola and I think it is a great instrument. It is a little bit different from violin. Violin has a higher tune than viola and is smaller than viola.
I started playing violin when I was 3 but I was not really interested in this instrument. When I became 10 I wanted to play viola more than violin so my mom changed her violin by adding viola strings and let me use it. But I was still not that interested in both the instruments. Until 1 day when I heard this song ‘Four Seasons’ which was composed by Antonio Vivaldi and was played only with Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass and the Basso continuo.
The song was so good that I fell in love with its composer Antonio Vivaldi. Antonio Vivaldi was an Italian violinist. He was born in March 4, 1678. He had eight siblings. Antonio learned violin with Giovanni Battista. Antonio started learning violin at a very early age that is why he had a great knowledge of it at the age of 25. Antonio had health problems like asthma in later age but that didn’t stop him from playing violin.
Antonio inspired me so much that I started playing viola every day.
Antonio keeps on inspiring me till today because he is extremely good at making music with only 5 to 6 instruments. He is also very creative and his music never makes anybody get bored. :

Winter - It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year! by Thunyamas

If you ask me what my favorite time of the year is, it would be winter! I have many reasons why I love it. The first reason why I love winter is because of the school break. Around December, our school would have a school break. During school break, we also have Christmas! Every year, I meet up with my friend to celebrate Christmas. It’s like our tradition to meet up with her every year.
The second reason why I love winter is because my family travels to other countries during winter. It’s fun to go to different countries and learn from their culture. A good thing about travelling is that you can relax and forget about work and stress. Sure, you might want to curl up in a blanket and sleep the whole day, but trust me. Traveling is so much better than sleeping.
The third reason why I love winter is because of the nice mild air. In Thailand, we don’t have snow, but at least we have colder air than summer. It feels more comfortable having a walk outside or sleeping. You don’t have to worry about blizzards or freezing water too. Not too hot and not too cold. It is just right!
Overall, winter is a great season filled with great things. Most people think winter is just a season with snow blizzards everywhere, but it is actually a time where you can relax with your friends and family. This makes winter truly a unique and a wonderful time of the year.

My favorite place is probably Japan's first real capital city, Nara! If you talk about Nara, the first thing you think about is deer! If you visit Nara, you will see deer everywhere. I don't really like deer, but the reason why I like Nara is because of the temples.

I visited the Todaiji Temple a week ago which is a landmark of Nara and is one of Japan's famous temple. Its great Buddha Hall is surrounded by green grass. On the inside you can see a huge statue of Buddha which is dedicated in the year 752. If you walk deeper in the hall, there is a pillar with a hole. The legend says that if you manage to pass through this hole, you will attain enlightenment in your next life. This made me glad that I managed to pass that hole!

The other reason why I like Nara is because of how peaceful it is. If you have a stroll around Nara, you can see that they have fewer buildings and more trees than other cities. Plus a nice cold breeze when you visit Nara around autumn. : noQw=*

He is not a world famous player but he is really famous in Thailand.
The reason I like him is that even though he is just 160cm tall but he can play with any tall players and beat them.
Another reason I like Chanathip is that he is not only a good player himself but helps his team win by assisting them in many ways.
And the third reason I like him is that he doesn’t only play at attacker’s position but when his team loses he also plays as defender.
Chanathip always gets kicked during the game, but he never takes revenge by kicking back.

My Favorite Place - Horton Plains! by Thanumi

Hello Everyone! Today, I am going to tell you about one of my favorite places around the world. 5 years ago, when I was about 7 years old, I visited an amazing place called 'Horton Plains,' which is located in central highlands of Sri Lanka. Me and my family went there early in the morning hoping to see all the things, but since it was a bit foggy and misty, we couldn't see anything clearly. However, we didn't have to wait that longer, because the sun shone brightly after few minutes, making the mist run away. Do you want to know about its weather? Well then, imagine of the cold wind passing by, making you feel like you are flying in the sky!
I have heard that there are many types of species in Horton Plains, but unluckily, all I saw was a huge Sri lankan sambar deer, who was sneaking around to steal our food, a purple faced monkey, and a grizzled giant squirrel who is the national animal of Sri Lanka. I am sure that you are going to love the plants such as forest canopy, myrtaceae, lauraceae, orchidaceae and ochlandra.
There are 2 wonderful waterfalls that I have seen in Horton Plains. Baker's Falls is the waterfall formed by Belihul water stream, a tributary of the Walawe river is named after Sir Samuel Baker, a hunter and explorer, who attempted to establish a European agricultural settlement at Nuwara Eliya. Baker falls are 20 meters high. Slab Rock Falls is the other waterfall which is also well known in Horton Plains. But honestly, I like Baker Falls than the Slab Rock Falls.
Have you ever seen to the end of the world? Of course you can't see, because our planet is round. But in Horton Plains, you can see the end of the world! Don't believe me? Read more to know about it. In Horton Plains, there is a place called 'World's End.' It is a sheer cliff, with a drop of about 4,000 feet! You can have a fantastic view from up there. Well, I wasn't that brave enough to go to the edge and see it, even if my parents told me that it is perfect. Did I mention that I am afraid of heights? If you are also scared, you can simply go to the Small World's End. It is 1 km away from the main cliff and it is a smaller cliff with a 1,000 feet drop. The Indian Ocean, which is 81 km away to the south, can be seen on clear days from there.
I enjoyed my visit so much! If you want to have a great experience just like me, go ahead and visit Horton Plains. How did you like my post? Don't forget to share your great thoughts with me!

My Favorite Place - Dahilayan Adventure Park - Philippines! by Ella

3 years ago I visited Dahilayan Adventure Park in the Philippines, and one of the amazing memories I've experienced there was when I tried out a zipline! The zipline I rode on was 840m long, also known as Asia's longest dual zipline. Have you heard of it? No? Well, if you wanna experience flying like a super hero, this is just the place.
I also rode on the shorter zipline that was 150m long and another that was 350m long while holding hands with my cousin. It felt like my legs were just useless. Sitting down until I reached the other side was just somehow pretty amazing! After experiencing the other ziplines I decided I was going to ride the longest zipline they had. I wasn't scared when I was with my family, but when I had to take a ride to get to the starting point the weather kinda creeped me out. It was so foggy and cold when we arrived at our destination, luckily I had a jacket.I began feeling scared of the ride and thought, "This is different" why? On most of the ziplines you just hold the rope and sit down, but in this zipline your position will totally look like a superman flying. I was then ready to cross, my heart was beating fast. Can you imagine? You? 4,700 feet about sea level? I couldn't really, not until I actually experienced it.

When I started moving, my eyes were just open and my hands were covering my mouth. I could not believe that this was actually so much...fun. Some said that the view was spectacular! But for me, there wasn't much of a view. Between the mountains, which was the starting point, fog covered much of the scenery, all I could see were some tress, not really much but I just smiled while passing by.
When I started feeling a little sunlight on my arms I knew that I was going to be out from between the mountains. When I was out from between the mountains the view was just breathtaking, I smiled happily while seeing it.
When I was being released by the straps that held tight on me I saw my family waving from the sides. In the end my parents bought me a congratulation certificate with a picture of me from inside a building. That experience made me believe that I am just a simple daredevil in a way.

Hi there! Today I am going to share my one of the best experience in a palace or you can say museum! The name of the palace is “Jai Vilas Palace”! But wait! Did I mention that this palace is located in India? If no then now you know!

I visited this palace with my very best cousin and with our parents! Before entering the palace I saw that it was very, very big and white color. When I entered, first I saw pictures of the royal family. All of them looked beautiful and pretty!
There were many things I saw and one of the interesting one was the dining table! It was really awesome! In the middle there was a small train which carried some salt, pepper, etc. for the royal family to get something if they wanted to make a better taste. I saw that the dining table was very long and the train rode all the way!
I also entered a small museum, where the royal family used to have meetings. The stair case up to the meeting room was very dangerous! But do you know why? It was dangerous because it was very old! And we had to go slowly. No running was allowed! While walking way up I was very scared that what if the stairs broke! When I saw the room it was really big and it had lights that had 100 bulbs!
After visiting this fantastic palace I was really happy! Hope you will visit that palace some day!

My Favorite Time Of The Year - December! by Renaya

It’s going to be December next month. Why am I feeling so excited? There are still school tests this month of November! But I can’t wait for what’s coming soon. Can you guess what it is? It’s Christmas! The most joyful, colorful, and meaningful time of the year! Well, I really think it is.
I like Christmas because it is the time when I see most people looking happy and I hear beautiful Christmas songs everywhere. It’s on Christmas time, every December, when colorful and bright lights in many forms are displayed in houses, buildings, parks, and other places. People enjoy watching those very tall Christmas trees with beautiful decorations.
Sometimes, when I go to the mall during Christmas, I love to see the fashion designs they put on the mannequin displays. The style and colors of the dresses really express the lively spirit of the people. It’s amazing and I like it! I love fashion cause it’s my passion! Christmas time just boosts my love for fashion.
During Christmas, I am able to make cards, draw something on them, and give them to my friends and family members. I really feel good expressing and sharing my talents to others. In our church, I do ballet presentation to make people happy during Christmas time. Showing our love to people by giving gifts and sharing what we have especially to those in need are the best ways to celebrate Christmas. There is Christmas because God has given His love for us through Jesus. Oh what a meaningful gesture it is.
Yes, there are many other days in the year that I enjoy. But, nothing beats Christmas with its color, meaning, and the way it makes people happy! How about you? What is your favorite time of the year? Would you like to join me in celebrating Christmas this year?

I can control what I am doing, I can choose if I want to waste my time or to work hard and feel good later that worked hard. I can be who I want to be. I have the liberty if I choose myself.

Soccer is one of my favorite sports of all time. I have been playing it since kindergarten and I still like it today. I usually played soccer during break/lunch time when I was 7. When I was 8, I joined the soccer after school activity. I lost interest in soccer when I was 9, but I got interested in it again at age 10. The reason why it’s my favorite sport is because it’s very fun and requires strategy.
One of my best soccer experiences was when I played soccer with adults when I was 10. I did a penalty kick and made a score for my team! Playing with adults was a little bit dangerous since they kick the soccer ball really hard and it’s easy to get hurt. The ball was hard, too.
There are rules in soccer, exactly 17 of them. But I will just tell you the basic rules of it.
The soccer field must be a rectangle, must have 2 goals, penalty lines, center circle, corner, sidelines, midline, and end lines. The field size depends on how many players are playing. The ball size depends on age, for ages 3-5, size 4 and 3 are used. For ages 6-12, size 4 is used. For ages 12-adult, size 5 is used. The number of players in each team must be the same, e.g. 7v7 (1 goalie and 6 players). If the number of players is not equal, the game won’t be fair. The maximum number of players is 11 (1 goalie and 10 playersone of your team mate changes with the other team mate, usually for strategies or the person is injured. Substitutions cannot be done when the ball is in play. one of your team mate changes with the other team mate, usually for strategies or the person is injured. The time can be different, depending on age. Players cannot use their hands, only the goalie can. When the ball goes out of the field, the team that didn’t touch the ball last time will get a throw in.
The rules make the game even more fun, and I hope now you know how to play soccer!
