Nature-based for children at the facility when they are outside, when they get into the facility after being out, the children are a lot calmer and it is easier for the educators to have them play together. As they need the fresh air for them to be able to freely play outside the daycare and knowing that being in the daycare and being outside is a lot different from each other because they get to run around more, being more active and they interact with other children even if its not the children from the same daycare.

Nature-based play can reduce stress in children, it offers movements (fine and gross motor movements) which is great for gaining more skills, it is sensory soothing for children which gives less time to put them to sleep (nap). It is very important for children to breathe in fresh air because it helps them regulate their hormones, Nature-based play does not have to be outside but most daycares have this by going outdoors which is not a bad thing. But you can also do sensory play with Natural materials inside the facility - that also helps with hormones regulation and offers movements like fine motor, children can even gain pincer grip with this nature-based play (sensory)
