Due to this I have been trying to follow a budget in order for this to happen much quicker. I have been limiting what I spend my money on. Before I buy anything I ask if it is really worth it. I also just got a new job for the summer. I had a summer job last year and the manager told me that I could have went back there but I did not want to. I started when I was 15 years old so they only paid me $7.50 per hour. Now, with my new job, I get paid $9.25 which is a dramatic difference. I put a good chunck of my checks into a savings account. This way I will not touch the money that I am saving up. By doing this, I have been able to save a good amount of money. For the most part I follow this plan but it can be super challenging. I occasionally waste my money on something really stupid and regret it later.
