Though I am a psychology major, my current field of work is teaching. Within the world of teaching, there are many different styles that inspire learning. Technology based teaching is a newer style that is in high development.

My target audience would be the teachers of today. Because technology is becoming a bigger part of peoples lives as time goes on, adapting new teaching styles while using technology is necessary to keep up.

The three methods of technology based training I chose were:

Blended learning

Distance Learning

Adaptive training

This way students won't be come overwhelmed with trying to keep up.

Cons: The responsibility students have for their own work may become a hindrance if not managed properly. Because the responsibility is on the students those who neglect their work may be overwhelmed.

I was able to be apart of a blended learning class back in high school, and I really appreciated how nice it was to manage my own work.

Students can learn from different schools across the country without leaving the safety of their own home, as well as learning in a comfortable space of their choosing.

Cons:

The cons that come with distance learning is that specific classes cannot be taught the same way as in person. Some classes, such as some nursing classes require in person learning due to the magnitude of the profession.

In my own personal experience, I have taken many classes online because I live in San Antonio. It is a very convenient method of learning but it some cases it does not feel as right as in person learning.

Learning is designed based on what the student needs

Needs previous assessment details to formulate a plan

Learning will be different for everyone

Pros:

In terms of learning this method may be most efficient for an individual. The main idea is to work on where the student is lacking, so improving these areas will create great progress.

Cons:

Formulating a specific plan for one or two individuals isn't too difficult, but creating a specific plan for a classroom of twenty may be challenging for a single teacher to do.

At the elementary school I work at, I have eight students. They each have different fields they are strong in as well as fields they lack in. It is challenging but coming up with specific tasks for them to work on in their own field is rewarding in their learning.

Among ethical issues, I believe that privacy for students is the biggest concern. Teachers must be responsible when teaching students in a zoom classroom. Some zoom classrooms are not monitored and what may happen there will not be reliably recorded.

We would begin by implementing blended learning for students. Students would participate in a online simulated lab aligning with the class, so for biology it would be dissecting a frog. After completion of the lab students would have to opportunity to do the lab in person. For students who struggled with the assignment, we would then incorporate adaptive learning and make training plans for students who struggled with some fields. Finally, we would incorporate distance learning as a form of tutoring. This may be after school when students are at home. Students log on to their device and be tutored for 30 minutes.

At my workplace I teach kids after school from 2:30 to 6:30. I could incorporate the computer lab with my class as a form of blended learning whether it be for science, history, English, or math. For students who cannot make it to the after school program, we could incorporate their learning with a video call facing the white board so they may learn as well. Finally, I do already make specific assignments for those students who are lacking within the field they need help in.
