         <description><![CDATA[<div>A quadratic equation is an equation that looks like this: ax<sup>2 </sup>+b x+ c = 0.&nbsp;<br>What makes it a quadratic equation is that only one of the variables has an exponent of 2.<br>We are learning how to use and solve quadratic equations because Math.&nbsp;<br>Also we can use the quadratic equation to solve for the value of "x" in and equation where we only know the value of "a", "b", and "c".<br>Quadratic equations can be used to find the distance that a projectile can travel in the air. If we graph that quadratic equation on paper, we could find at what distance will the projectile land on the ground.</div>]]></description>
