Meanwhile, the opposite trend was seen in that of China, the number of tourists from this country paying a visit to The US tripled, from 10 percent  in 1988 to 30% in 1992. 
At the same time, the percentage of visitors who came to The US whose Mexican citizenship did not change much over 4 years, but it fluctuated and bottomed out as low as 20 percent in 1990. Finally, travelers from others dropped  to a third and hit 4 percent in 1992, respectively ranked 4th in the chart.
