Summary OpenIDEO: 

OpenIDEO is a global online platform for creative people. The platform is created to collaborate to solve problems and create concepts. It is important for the users to put up visual content to inspire others. Quantity and quality of the ideas are both important, because everything can be used as inspiration. People can give feedback on others’ ideas, to help to improve them. There are challenges on the platform as well, and the best solutions are picked by the sponsor of each challenge, and will be executed. 

It all starts with a big question. In the concepting fase it is about how you would solve this problem? This creates different views. The magic starts when the collabaration happens. Subsequently the valuationfase takes place, which is all about rating concepts and giving feedback. Eventually a few concepts will end in the top and the best wins. 

Your participation in each fase all ad up to your Design Quetiont (DQ). Because everyone has their own qualitys it creates unique DQ’s.

Then comes the inspiration fase where everyone puts in information, both quantity and quality are important. After that you get the concepting fase where the real idea comes together. In the end you get to rate & comment everyone in the evaluation fase.
