O me O life! https://padlet.com/3588601/y59bjxesyhrh6ws7/wish/2351772443 Walt Whitman's poem,"O Me! O Life!", goes in-depth regarding the meaning of life. In my opinion, the poem is one of the most powerful literary works of all time, despite its length. As I read through the poem, I didn't think much of its significance, as the beginning primarily goes through the problems and obstacles humans face, allowing them to question their meaning. Whitman then transitioned, by simply saying, "Answer", implying that the next lines would be the answer to the questions asked before. Whitman then states in the next two lines, "That you are here—that life exists and identity, That the powerful play, goes on, and you may contribute a verse.", to me, this was extremely powerful, as it covers why we're here, to contribute a verse, to help, "the powerful play", carry on.
