This story is about a lady that goes by the name of Mrs. Mallard. She was just told that her husband has died from a railroad accident. The story takes place in her house where she is with her sister Josephine and her husbands friend Richard. She goes upstairs where she locks herself in her room crying because of what happened but at the same time she then realizes that she is now free and she is confronted by her own demons that have now set her free. She is happy that she is free from her husband because she is now living and not being bossed around. She then later goes downstairs due to knocking the door's she opens the door it happens to be her husband and she Is in complete shock that she later sadly passes away to due a heart attack of joy, not to possibly see him but knowing she got her hopes up too high and then the story closes. In Paragraph 8, it shows actual physical traits of her such as "She was young, with a fair, calm face ,whose lines bespoke, repression and even a certain strength."-Chopin pg.1.Now this direct characterization was more about her appearance and how she is being seen as during this time of crisis. Now there is  other direct characterizing such as "She sat with her head thrown back upon the cushion of the chair"-Chopin pg.1. Now even thought this doesn't show physical traits it  shows more of an emotional trait of how disturbed and alone she is feeling at the moment. We find out that she is sad due to the death of her husband but then realizes its joy because she is now free from him. This shows one pf the biggest foreshadowing's ending to a possible death to her future in the story and sadly it did lead to that to where she had a heart failure and died due to a heart attack. Although it might be hard which it really is, there is always time to grief but if there's something bothering you in your life, then always make the most of it because you never know when it might be your last smile. So this story thought me that don't let sadness take over your thoughts unless your confronting your inner demons and then finally making peace with them and then learning form those mistakes.
