This article is about how scientists are trying to search the ocean for new species because there are many things they don't know. They do know that there are some animals without a backbone and that these animals are called invertebrates. They have sent robot like things under the water to see what life is like down there. Although it is very cold and dark as well. The scientists are admitting that they don't know what kinds of animals are down there. Zoologists capture and catalog some examples of organisms. The animals that are down in the ocean can can be and are vert strange shapes and sizes. Scientists are challenged by these animals. I've been to an ocean in California. It was super fun because I went with my friends. I collected seashells there. I also collected seaweed. I've always wondered what the bottom of the ocean was like.

In Cape Cod Massachusetts There have numerous sightings of great white sharks in the shallow waters. But the people swiming should not be alarmed. As long as they leave the sharks alone then they will be left alone. People are only killed by sharks about 6 times every year. They say your more likely to get attacked by a dog, horse, or dear then a shark. Cape cod is not the only place that the sharks have been spotted. Its all over the world. The reason they come to the shallow water is because of the amount of seals that go there to warm up.

Coral Crisis is about how the Great Barrier Reefs corals are being bleached. When a coral is bleached it loses all of its color. This happens because the algae that gives coral its color is released. The most likely cause for the Great Barrier Reef being bleached is global warming. When the water gets too warm the coral has to release the algae because it can’t survive.

Malala is a very brave and inspiring woman, and has been awarded one of the highest of honors. This young woman has fought for education for many years. Even in the face of fear and danger, she stood up for what she believed in. Even if it meant being shot. She was shot at age fifteen for standing up for her belief of equal education rights for women.Today, at age 20, she is being accepted into oxford to get her education. This is a very exciting moment for her and she is so glad to be given this opportunity. She and her whole family are full of joy. Malala is an amazing person, and definitely deserves this chance to get her education. My connection to this article is that I have learned about this amazing woman before. In 5th grade. This incredible person really inspired me to follow my dreams, and not give up even if things get hard.I can't believe that she went through a that and still did not give up! That is really perseverance!I am so excited she gets to live her dream and go to college! She deserves it!

Did you ever think about the ecosystem for the animals and reptiles? Many different animals had to go to higher ground too. Reports and images have shown snakes, alligators, and fire ants lurking throughout the water trying to get to higher ground. Chris Stephen and his alligator relocation company sent out to help people who were calling reporting alligators in their front yard, attic, garage, and many more places. They have relocated 3 alligators since the flood. Road closures only allowed the team to respond to life threatening situations. The team continues to save many creatures. I found this interesting because with all the devastation that occurred, animal habitats were even affected and alligators were escaping from their enclosures.

North Korea does not communicate with the rest of the world very often. Anyone who goes to North Korea has a tough time getting out and anyone who disagrees with the government is punished. If there is a total solar eclipse in Wyoming, maybe only the top left corner of Colorado can see a particle solar eclipse. Usually a few weeks after a solar eclipse there is a lunar eclipse. The conection that I have with this article is that on August 21, 2017 I was able to see the solar eclipse with the special glasses thanks to the ESL teacher in the Morgan pod.

This food fight is celebrated every year on the last Wednesday of August. It all started when in the 1940’s some people got into a fight and started throwing tomatoes at each other. Since then it has been a tradition. Around 20,000 people participated in this tomato fight. This is probably the world’s largest food fight and this year over 150 tons of tomatoes were thrown.

This article is about Harvey's effect on Houston. This states how it affects homes and whole cities. This article tells about how Harvey is the biggest Hurricane this year, and is the first one to hit Texas since 2008. This storm has brought torrential downpour 130 mph winds and has spawned many tornados in the area. Harvey is a category 3 storm that brought flooding and devastation. It started as a tropical depression and quickly grew. It grew to a category 4 hurricane then when it got nearer to land it dropped to a category 3. Texans in the line of this hurricane were told to evacuate until they can asses the destruction. This storm is very powerful and caused a lot of damage I make a connection to this because I used to live in a extreme weather area. When I lived in New York we did not have hurricanes but we did have blizzards. It was very dangerous to go outside because sometimes it was a white out and you could not see your neighbor's house. This meant no driving so you basically stay at your house until it was over. Some houses roofs collapsed because they were not strong enough. I remember one time snow filled our whole front door you could not even see outside. All in all extreme weather blizzards and hurricanes included are very dangerous and can cause a lot of damage. That is what I learned from this article and i think it is very important. I liked this article also because it was interesting to me. Id NEVER want to be in a hurricane.

It was one of the coolest experiences I've ever had.

Theres also snakes moving into peoples houses and people are agitating them and getting hurt.multiple bats will be flying around because there homes will be flooded it's very cool to see them flying around at night but be weary they can be aggressive if you irritate them. Also do to the flooding deer are drowning so once the flooding leaves they'll be corpses and a huge fly problem due to them eating them. And that's why i read this article because of the animals.

Big Ben has been chiming since 1859 but it will no longer be chiming until 2021. Big Ben is a giant bell clock but because the large inner bell has been used for so long they will only chime it one a year do to the fact that they have to do mechanical repairs on the large inner bell.
