This workshop is limited to 6 participants but all visitors are very welcome to call in and see us at work..

Preston has a fascinating architectural history, with buildings and squares full of character and personal stories. This workshop will give you the chance to create your own architectural collage of a place or a building you love in Preston. Whether it’s the Neo-Gothic Church of St Walburge, the Brutalist Bus Station, or your own house, I will show you how to put together a paper and card collage of your chosen building. During the day, I will be producing one of SHOP, our location for the event, in order to demonstrate and explain techniques for composing the image, cutting, layering, gluing, and adding a personal touch. I will be providing all the necessary tools and materials, coloured paper and card, but you are welcome to bring your own special paper, old newspapers, magazine cuttings or photographs to add to your image. Please bring a photograph of your chosen building for the workshop (preferably printed or on tablet/phone). At the end of the day, you will get to take home your handmade architectural collage-souvenir of Preston.

Age Restriction: 16+
Time & Place: 1200-1600hrs @ SHOP, 3 Syke Street, PR1 3XA (former Rwanda Charity Shop)
Booking link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/167726246719
