On "Space.com" it says that fuel cost 500 million dollars each launch

*** So how are you going to convince the President to fund the colony? How many trips do we need to make our colony work?

But if we want to go to the moon and back we would need to pay double the amount right?

*** You should calculate costs. If you are bringing people back, how are they coming back? What sort of return system are you thinking about?

We would have to add a back up space shuttle for us to come back but we are gonna have to let the colonists know about that.

I want to send three people up there, so that means there should be a small rocket, so you won't need as much money for fuel and you will

How can we expect to survive indefinitely on Mars without growing our own food, and producing our own water and oxygen? It costs $80,000 to ship four liters of water to the Moon! Just imagine the cost, let alone the logistics, of shipping water and food to Mars.

Helium 3 is currently used mostly for scientific research, but some see it as a future source for non-radioactive fusion power. Unfortunately,the United States and Soviet Union exhausted much of the worlds supply during cold War-era nuclear tests. This means there is  a way to make money of the Helium 3. Of a ton of helium 3( the equivalent of about 50 million barrels of crude oil)and the estimated amount of recoverable helium 3 (around 75,000 tons, or 15 percent of the total amount on the moon) we could be looking around $375 trillion worth of the stuff.
