Before his employment at Centennial High School, Mr. Schloth served in similar roles at other schools in Oregon. He taught for eighteen years including Career Education, Personal Finance, Health and Physical Education at Reynolds High School in Troutdale. This led to him becoming an assistant principal for discipline and staff development. He is an advocate of interactive education and the use of technology for classroom instruction. Furthermore, he supports social and emotional learning (SEL) strategies and restorative practices that promote supportive and respectful behavior.

Mr. Schloth has a master’s degree in education from Portland State University. Additionally, he has an Initial Administrator License and a Professional Administrator License. Away from work, he enjoys spending time outdoors, boating, fishing, and rafting.
