What do you think is the moral values of the story?

The story teaches us that deception and trickery can lead to negative consequences. Roro Jonggrang's decision to trick Bandung Bondowoso led to her own downfall. It also emphasizes the importance of honesty and facing challenges with integrity.

2. If you were the main character, what would you do differently?

If I were Roro Jonggrang, I would approach the situation differently. Instead of deceiving Bandung, I might have sought a peaceful solution, perhaps through negotiation or appealing to his sense of justice regarding the death of my father.

3. How would you change the ending of the story?

I would change the ending by having Roro Jonggrang confess her feelings of sadness and fear about her father's death directly to Bandung Bondowoso. They could reach an understanding without deceit, allowing for a more peaceful resolution where neither is cursed.

4. What is your opinion/argument about the whole story?

The story is a fascinating blend of legend and folklore, showcasing the consequences of pride, deceit, and miscommunication. It also highlights the tension between power and moral choices, creating a rich narrative that speaks to human nature.

5. What is your opinion about characters in the story?

Roro Jonggrang is portrayed as intelligent but conflicted, torn between grief and fear. Bandung Bondowoso, while powerful, is also shown to be vulnerable to anger and pride. Both characters have their flaws, making them more relatable.

6. What is your opinion about place and time in the story ?

The setting of ancient Java, with its mystical and supernatural elements, adds depth to the story. The time and place fit the tale well, creating an atmosphere that blends the mythical and historical, adding to the story’s timeless quality.

7.What is your opinion/agreement/argument about concfict in the story?

The central conflict revolves around power, grief, and fear. Roro Jonggrang’s internal struggle against her desire to avenge her father’s death without confronting the powerful Bandung is compelling, making the conflict feel genuine and multifaceted.

8. What is your opinion/agreement/argument about the solution of the concfict in the story?

The resolution, where Roro Jonggrang is turned into a statue, feels tragic. It reflects how trickery can backfire, but it also leaves the story on a somber note. I would prefer a resolution that involves dialogue and reconciliation, allowing both characters to grow.

9.What is your opinion about the moral values of the stories?

The story’s moral emphasizes the importance of honesty and dealing with challenges in a fair and open manner. It warns against using trickery as a way out of difficult situations, as such actions often lead to unintended, sometimes dire consequences.
