The year was 1996 when 16-year-old Ryan and Laura decided to find out if the myth of Cherudoyle was true. Laura was a sweet girl. She had curly black hair with bright blue eyes. Ryan was a lovely boy. He had dark brown hair that was parted down the middle; short sides and a long top with light brown eyes. Together they made the best duo in the town of Osceola - Osceola is a small town and is known best for its forest.

The myth of Cherudoyle is well known. The myth is that in Osceola Forest there is an angel named Cherudoyle and if you bring her:

3 Bright Crystals

1 Red Rose

6 Stones

1 Bucket of Sweet Sugar Water

1 Lantern

She will make you immortal and grant you 3 wishes that will last a lifetime. Excited, Laura and Ryan pack for their adventure. They say goodbye to their parents and meet up on Hayes Fields. Together they set off on their adventure not knowing what lies ahead. . .

"Do you think the myth is real, Ryan?” Laura says as she looks over at Ryan. "I hope so. . .because I want to live forever with my best friend.” He says with a smile. Ryan and Laura have been bestfriends since they were 5; they are inseparable. Everyone knows that they are in love with each other, they just are too scared to admit it to each other. “I brought my camera!” Laura says as she goes to take a picture of Ryan; he smiles and then takes a picture of Laura. They then take a picture together.

“We should start trying to collect all the things we need as we’re heading there,” Ryan says looking around for stones. “I already got the lantern and 3 stones,” Laura says, reaching into her bag. “I found 3 more stones, and I already have the crystals,” Ryan says as he puts the stones in Laura’s bag. “So let's make a checklist,” Laura says as she gets out her notepad and pen.

3 Bright Crystals

1 Red Rose

6 Stones

1 Bucket of Sweet Sugar Water

1 Lantern

“So we just need the red rose and sweet sugar water,” Laura says looking up from her notepad. “Yep!” Ryan says. They arrive at the entrance of Osceola Forest. Legend has it that there are tolls and fairies in this forest that protect it and if you run into one you better be ready to fight or be killed. “How are we supposed to find a red rose and sweet sugar water in here when everything is all dark and. . .dead?” Ryan says with a funny look; Laura giggles. “We will find everything we need, don’t worry.” They both head into the forest.

“Hopefully we don't run into some trolls or fairies,” Ryan says, smiling at Laura. “Yea that would be scary and well. . . deadly.” She says with a small chuckle. As they walk through the forest, Ryan feels like they’re being watched; he is correct. Just then a gust of wind blows knocking them over; the items in their bag fall out - going everywhere. Just then a group of trolls come out of the trees and grab hold of Laura and Ryan. The tolls drag them to a nearby cave and begin to tie them up. “RYAN!” Laura screams as she's dragged away. “LAURA! Ryan screams as he begins to fight back.

Ryan breaks away from the trolls’ grasp and runs to Laura. “LAURA!!” He yells as he tries to spot her. Finally at last He finds Laura. “WHERE IS HE?!” The troll yells as he runs through the forest; He hides behind a giant boulder. “We probably scared him out of the forest. Let's kill the girl and move on.” One troll says as he continues to drag Laura to the cave. Terrified, Laura screams a blood-curdling scream. The type of scream out of a horror movie. Ryan quietly but quickly follows them. It starts to pour; Lightning strikes. Ryan gets to the cave a few minutes after the trolls and he sees Laura tied up and crying next to a burnt-out fire.

“Pst! Laura!” Ryan says as he looks to see if the coast is clear; he runs to her. Immediately he begins to untie her. “Almost done, Laura.” He says trying to get the last naught out. “Hurry! They’re coming!” She says in a panic. “And. . .Done! Let's go!” He says as he grabs Laura's hand and runs.

They get back to their stuff to find everything gone; Everything was scattered throughout the forest making it impossible to find without a bright light. “We have to go home,” Laura says, heading toward the entrance of the forest. “Wait, why?!” Ryan asks following her. “Because I have things we need there.” She says as she looks for her notepad; she successfully finds it. They quickly run to Laura’s house and grab 2 flashlights, a wooden baseball bat, and a silver flip-knife. “Okay, let's go find our stuff and get that angel!” Laura says as she locks the front door.

Together they quickly walk to the entrance once again; They look at each other, and Laura has a look of fear. Ryan reaches for her hand; they hold hands as they enter the forest once again. “Maybe I should tell him that I’m in love with him…’ she thinks as they walk back to their things. Little does she know, Ryan is thinking the same thing.

They get back to their things and start looking for everything. They end up finding everything except the red rose. “Great! The one thing we needed is missing. What are we going to do now?!” Ryan says in a panic. “Hey, breath. Everything will be fine and it’s right here underneath the bag.” Laura says with a smile; Ryan chuckles nervously. They walk farther into the forest. Out of nowhere, a ball of light starts to form a few feet in front of them; The light was the fairies. “Uh, Ryan..” Laura says as she starts backing up.

They both decided to run East and hope to lose the fairies. They manage to hide from them. All of a sudden they hear singing; They slowly turn around to see the angel … Cherudoyle sitting there next to the small body of water singing. “Oh ... My … God! She’s real!” Laura says with a giant smile on her face; she takes this opportunity to tell Ryan how she feels. “Ryan there's something I need to tell you. I've been in love with you since the moment I laid eyes on you. I feel like you're my soulmate and this entire time I’ve fallen more in love with you. I love you, Ryan.” She says nervously and shaky. Ryan grabs her hand, pulling her close and kissing her. “I love you too Laura”

The two hold hands as they walk toward Cherudoyle. “Uh hello..” Laura yells out; Cherudoyle turns around and smiles. Hello children. . .Do you have my requests?” She asks them. “Yes, we do,” Ryan says as he pulls them out of the bag. Cherudoyle smiles as she snatches the items. “Perfect…PERFECT!” She yells. “Sit please. . .” The two hesitate for a moment but then sit down along the body of water. Cherudoyle starts setting up the arrangement of the items. Laura had an off feeling about Cherudoyle. She felt as if something bad was going to happen, but she decided to stay. “We don’t have the sweet water,” Ryan says disappointed. “Oh, don't worry dear..that's quite all right,” Cherudoyle says with an enormous smile on her face.

Just then Cherudoyle starts singing a lullaby. “Sleep sleep sleep Don’t lie too close to the edge of the bed Or little gray wolf will come And grab you by the flank, Drag you into the woods Underneath the willow root.” as she’s singing Laura can feel her chest get tight like she can't breathe. Terrified, she stands up and starts gasping for air. “Laura?!” Ryan says concerned; Laura trips on a rock and falls into the body of water. The water is deeper than she had thought; she starts drowning. A few moments later Ryan starts feeling the same; He falls into the water drowning moments later.

“Sleep sleep sleep Don’t lie too close to the edge of the bed Or little gray wolf will come And grab you by the flank, Drag you into the woods Underneath the willow root.” Cherudoyle sings as she makes Ryan and Laura’s lifeless bodies slowly float to the surface. Cherudoyle puts their bodies in her giant, black, rusty cauldron and starts to melt the skin off their bones. “Maybe now, no one will mess with my forest again.” She says as she slowly stirs the bodies in the cauldron. She manages to burn off all the flesh and all that's left are the bones of Ryan and Laura. Satisfied, Cherudoyle decided to put the bones back together and put them on display in her dull, little hut. . .
