Most of my postits are about Mrs Murphy being super kind to Carley even though Carley is being jerk. Mrs Murphy gave her love throughout it all! The social issue that connects to this book is Abusive parents from Carleys olf parents but also foster care for the Murphys. Like how they all loved her and in the end she loved them too. I had 10 postits.

I put seven post-its throughout my book. I mostly marked positive relationships between one another. One social issue in my book is bullying. There is bullying in my book because two girls named Shay and Jessica bully Ally because she can't read and write that well. She can't do those things because she has dyslexia. They both make fun of her and tease her to read something for them when she can't.

Also, I marked what the problem was in the chapters as well as people getting involved stuff like that. One social issue that goes on in my book is bullying. Chad bullies Marshal which is Tamayas best friend thats in 7th grade. He bullies him because of having the same birthday as him and because he walks to school and back with a 5th grader. There is a lot of more stuff that involves bullying in this book but these exact people occur a lot about bullying.

I mainly marked all the small things happening to Steven and Jeffery like the small arguments they had and how they would play with each other and how Steven felt about Jeffery. One social issue in my book is Illness. Jeffery doesn't really know whats going on but when Steven finds out he starts to treat Jeffery differently then usual. Steven cares for Jeffery a lot more and is trying to be more careful with him. Jeffery gets sent to a hospital almost every 2 nights to get treated. Eventually Jeffery starts to get better and goes to school.

An example is Mahmoud's relationship with his family and how he would go to great lengths for his family, which affected his story. A social issue in my book was definitely discrimination. The characters in the book were all judged for things they couldn't control. For example, Josef was discriminated against for being a Jew.

I used 7 post-its-The social issue that I think stands out the most in our book is children being abused. This is a very serious issue that sadly lots of kids all over the world have to go through.Carly in the book is an example of what kids have to go through and that its hard for kids to adapt to other families when they are put in foster care. It's also hard for the kid to feel like they belong or people love them because their past life could have also affect them mentally. This is shown in One for the Murphy's because Carley believes that she does not belong or that no one loves her but when she entered the Murphy's house the was filled with love and compassion for a family that really did care about her. That happens to kids all around the world because their abusive parents got inside their head and they never got to experience what it feels like to be loved or cared about because that never happened for them. Some people think others lives are perfect but life at home might be different for them than life in public.

For example I marked that Josef's relationship with his father was negative because his father was afraid of everything and didn't even want to attend Josef's Bar Mitzvah. Josef's father even tried to drown himself. One social issue I marked was poverty. On my post it I wrote about how Mahmoud and his family had little money and could barely afford having shelter and food. They were so poor that they had to sleep on the doorway of a travel agency. I connected to my book wene tells his friends to stop. I connected once were my friends were goofing off and I told them to stop. On my post it note is says that Josef told hid friends to stop. and that's what I did in my situation.

The social issue that is connected to my book is foster girl and abusive parents. Marshall was disappointed with Tamaya but, He was really nervous because of Chad. Chad is a very mean kid who lies a lot. Chad wanted to fight Marshall just because both of their birthdays are on September - 29th. Marshall suddenly thought of a shortcut... the woods. On one of my post-its, I wrote that Chad was beating up Marshall in the woods. Tamaya scooped up some fuzzy mud and rubbed it all over CHads face
