·      Small team, nimble, doing different things, things that matter – as long as the field is interest

o   Identify and commit to whats happening next – maybe I question it internally but decide and go forward. Don’t get stuck in the middle – don’t flounder

·      Reaching out/getting interviews and talking to people – not afraid to using my network. Given that to every project we’ve been on together

·      Least art schooly among the class – good to see how our work translates in a lot soft/ethereal way. Upper bound for business and professionalism. 

·      Have as a model – some people rub up against it. Other people are anxious they don’t have those skills. Could be competitive stuff that they feel with you

·      Set a good bar for what rigor and quality looks like – don’t have enough of that baked into program / mindset of program

·      Can come across as not being interested in someone else’s opinion. 

·      Very practical – not interested in wasting time/beating around the bush. Can come across that I’m plowing other peoples ideas down.

·      People who are sensitive, highly creative can be hurt by that. 

·      Much more EQ then a hard assed / hard nosed “regular business guy” – well positioned. Just act on evidence that has been collected in the past

·      Good in conversation, know how to network, know how to make people trust me, humble – balance with showing ability + humility

·      Excelling in second half of DT process 

o   First step of conceptual – not good

·      Comfortable with doing things ive done well in the past – don’t start really big

·      Implementation – good at. 

·      Without any certainty – don’t trust my ability to make it up for myself

o   Saw some proof in the program in a way I hadn’t seen before

o   Made her happy that I liked that project

o   Healthcare + aging - Interest in aging is a direct product of really liking that project

o   Showing it to the world

·      Organization that values Impact and following up

·      Could work for a big org – just need enough power/responsibility to manage

·      Want to be in a management/leadership role

·      Work mean something

·      If something is going wrong – people will come to be then figure out if there is consensus

·      Nice to have organized people that are driven to make things better then the status quo

·      Class has good mix of abstract and concrete people

o   Being one of the way more abstract people – good to have me to bring up questions and concerns that more then half the class has but people don’t bring up

o   Bring it back to reality – whats the timeline? Functionally obvious questions that a lot of creatives don’t address

·      DFA – 

o   If someone has an idea that’s outs there – will reach out halfway – but in context of what we are doing. 

·      Present myself – concrete, organized

·      Grown a lot since program started – pivoted from being a manager of things into a bridger of things. Instead of strictly managing – now bring others in to make it more contributory 

·      Original Design Leadership vision – graphically sound but corporate in a way – coming from Deloitte. Now, take more time to gel with ideas and look at larger aspects

·      Not initially pushing back but will push back if others do – depends on group dynamics if that is good or bad

·      How do I have time to do all the things I do?

o   Worry that I say yes too much – pile too much on

§  Bridging out more can help – would like to see me continue to grow in that aspect

§  Continue to bridge to build relationships when you know others will get stuff done

o   Questions mode – well when will it happen? What do we have so far? 

§  Not inflammatory 

§  Continue to be constructive. Take a step back when I get anxious. 

§  What can I have others do? Good at recognizing what strengths others have – disappointed when I think there is a strength that doesn’t come through. Find ways to mitigate disappointment

o   Kind person – can feel mean when I feel disappointed

o   Figuring out bridges from outside to inside 

o   Organized all meetings to make sure people were there

o   Drive to make the connections is helpful – informing what a project shouldn’t be is just as important as what it should be
