Could se usa para hablar de habilidad en el pasado. Se usan también los dos verbos para pedir cosas o para pedir que alguien haga algo.

El verbo can es un verbo modal que usamos para hablar de que algo y alguien tiene la habilidad para hacer algo, por ejemplo


  • Can I ask you a favor?
    ¿Puedo pedirte un favor?
  • She can speak in english
  • Can =Puede 
  • se hace la negación con la palabra not o la forma corta -n’t. La pregunta se hace poniendo el modal verb al principio, sin nada más
  • si puedo = Yes I can
  • No puedo = No I can't
  • I can’t stay up late tonight because I have to work in the morning.
  • Can you speak up? I can’t hear you!

    ¿Podrías ayudarme?
