Students in grades 3-6 show what they know and can do by creating animated movies. Students also learn the basics of entrepreneurship and business as they create and run movie companies.
BizMovie teaches children in grades 3-8 the basics of entrepreneurship and business while encouraging them to explore technology by creating their own animated movies. During this project-based learning (PBL) experience, students work in teams of six to start and run their own movie production companies. This real-world experience gives students the opportunity to create movies using whatever classroom technology you have available. For students with limited computer skills, BizMovie can be a fun introduction to technology, and for others, this experience can help to build computer  fluency. BizMovie was developed in collaboration with the National Center for Women and Information Technology (NCWIT) in order to bring together important technology skills in a business context for students who might not otherwise consider careers in technology.
