At the age of 26 I made the decision to go to the University of Manitoba where I got a BSc and my BEd.
I spent two years teaching high school math and science in a northern Saskatchewan First Nations community, and then three years teaching Grade 7 (generalist), two years teaching high school science and Biology, and three years as a vice principal in a K-8 school in Flin Flon, MB.
