This is the first book I can remember my mom reading to me. I use to look at the pictures over and over imagining myself inside. I was maybe 5 years old when I had it memorized. Unfortunately it was one of the only books she ever read to me.

I could not read this book in elementary school, but I would check it out every week. I remember that the librarian would make me find a different book. But then the very next week I would check this one out again. I taught myself to read with this book. I practiced and practiced because I really wanted to know what was being said. I think for first through third grade I always had this book with me.
