The feedback for the proposal was to rein the idea back and make the event more specific. Such as making the event exclusively Street Art as there is a gap in the market for Street Artists to sell their work.

There is a significant decrease in people who go to Art specific events and spaces compared to other Creative events.

However with an increase in the Uk's population being HNWIs intending to go to more arts based events but to purchase more art (Woodbury House Collectors Guide 2025).

Which means there needs to be a space for Street Artists and the public.

The event will be held at Stryx as a stand alone event at Strryx which means the event will have to hold up on its own.

I initially organised the event to be on May 3rd between 4pm-9pm at Stryx Gallery in the JQ. I decided to postpone the event to allow for a deeper level of planning prior to the event.

There is a disparity in who buys Street Art and who buys it. Street Art is normally made by artists from a working class background who want to voice their opinions on social and political issues. However, the people now buying street art are not in the same position as the artists such as celebrities and upper class people. An example of this would be the Kardashians, the Beckhams.

This makes Street Art unaccessible for the people the art was made for. The aim of my event would be to make Street Art accessible to all, this ties in with the commercial gallery at Stryx's aim to make art accessible to all.

The risk assessment includes risks for the event, the artists and their art, the customer, the venue and the musicians.

I will be using the outdoor space (weather permitting) to host the Artists and their Art for sale. If the weather is poor we can move into the play area inside.

The indoor play area will be used as a transition space between the live music and the art between the bar and the rest of the event. Additionally this space can be used to house the art if it is raining.

The gallery space will be used for the live music. It has a big capacity and prevents noise from being too loud for the neighbours. The space can be curated for the band as well as supplying space to view the art at the same time as enjoying the music. There is also sufficient space to store instruments and equipment during breaks.

The cafe and bar has seating additionally it creates flow for the event as it is the first thing people experience and then they can walk through the space to the event.

The arrows on the diagram show who is paying at the event. Stryx will be supplying the drinks and therefore making money from the customers paying for drinks. Urban Art Gallery will be making money from the artists one off fees and membership fees as well as tickets. The artists will be making money from the sales of their art. The customers will be buying tickets, art and drinks.

Street Art is being used as a commodity for HNWIs (High Net Worth Individuals) to buy and resell for profit however, that is not its intended audience. Street Art is meant to be accessible for everyone because it is out on the Street. This event will function to bridge the gap between Artists and their intended audience by allowing people to view and purchase Street Art directly from the artists.

With the rise of private collectors using Street Art as a commodity to collect to decorate their home and removing Street Art from its intended environment and the rise of paid Street Art tours Street Art is becoming more and more inaccessible to the public.

With my experience from Stryx as part of JQ Lates I will use my social media marketing skills to market the brand using social media and Stryx's accounts.

As a location Stryx is prime for transport as it it near the tram station but it is also situated opposite Birmingham's only Banksy which attracts Street Art fans to the area everyday which would be an untapped market in the jewellery quarter.

Stryx has a rang of facilities which will be useful for the event and will serve as great promotion for specially curated events for adults.
