I'm concerned about the potential impact of recent and possible future federal government actions on international and undocumented students (e.g., deportations, recommendations not to leave the U.S., the possibility - I don't know how likely - of OPT being eliminated). I wonder if students have expressed worries to BCE staff and also how these developments may be affecting students' mental health.

Although the U.S. has a long history of discrimination toward different populations/communities, it feels as if the basic fabric of democracy is unravelling. So many of the federal government’s actions conflict with my assumptions of how government is supposed to function and my values of how people should be treated. Can we discuss ways to maintain sanity in this harsh, chaotic and uncertain environment?

Back in March, we were asked to complete a survey about our manager, office culture, and management in general. Given the various experiences many staff have shared, which has caused concerns and challenges on how staff are treated, how is upper management working to address and work on this so staff feel like this is a priority (as the culture shows otherwise)?
