I took the quiz to test my knowledge of the difference between scholarly vs. popular publications and that was interesting to see if I knew all the answers. I learned a lot of the information in the research class I took last semester. The NSU library resources and videos are very helpful.

Purdue OWL is a resource I constantly use and it is mentioned on the NSU Library Libguide as a way to help prevent plagiarism. Looking over this website has helped me a lot when it comes to figuring out my APA citations. One particular page that has been helpful is the Sample Paper. It gives notes in the margins about what APA format requires and is a good visual tool for someone just starting out on APA. Here is the link for it: https://owl.purdue.edu/owl/research_and_citation/apa_style/apa_formatting_and_style_guide/apa_sample_paper.html
-Elizabeth Caputo

Then after reading through many of the contents listed I realized how great the resource is in having almost everything we could need in knowledge on being a librarian. I really liked the recommend reading information and the recently challenged books site that was shared. There is constant change going on in our libraries across the nation with books being challenged.

-Skylar

I thought that this was very interesting. I know that my district purchases curriculum every 5-6 years, but this could be a great resource to use if I wanted to look for a lesson/unit that was in another curriculum. This was a very helpful guide that I didn't know was that easy to search through.

-Kaylisa Orman
