This stage ranges from birth to two years old. Around about 3 months of age an infant should begin to have significant movements and reach for objects. In this video, Ally can be seen making movements. She also reaches for the stuffed animal, both related abilities to this stage.

The preoperational stage ranges from the ages of two to seven years. This stage's related abilities include things such as growing awareness of reversibility, being self-involved, and object permanence established. This video is an example of established object permanence. At around the age of two years, Ally is able to tell that I don't actually disappear when covering my face.

The stage of concrete operations lasts from ages seven to eleven years old. The related abilities to this stage include reversibility being well established and some conversation skills being well established. At about the age of eight years old a child's conversation skills are fairly well established. This is demonstrated when Victor is able to hold a short and simple conversation, but still get the meaning across.

This stage is the last of Piaget's four stages of development. This stage happens at age eleven years old and on. The related ability during this stage is the growing ability to think abstractly and symbolically. In this video, Ally has a very abstract thought that well demonstrates the growing ability.
