Every time I pick up my paintbrush and bring the images in my mind to life, I feel incredibly happy. My teachers often praise my drawings, which gives me more confidence in my artistic abilities!

In addition to drawing, I also enjoy reading comic books. The characters and storylines in comics always inspire my imagination and creativity. I hope that one day I can create my own comics, allowing others to see the world I envision through my art.

My grandaunt works hard every day to take care of me, and my grandfather puts in a lot of effort to earn money for our family. Their dedication deeply moves me, so I try my best to help out with household chores, such as washing my own clothes and tidying up my room. I know these are things I should do and an essential part of growing up.

My dream is to become an excellent comic artist and create works that move people. I understand that achieving this dream requires a lot of effort and time. Therefore, I will focus on learning various skills and continuously improving myself, step by step, toward my goal.

One of my biggest hobbies is reading, especially before bedtime, as it makes me feel especially relaxed and happy. It is my favorite way to end the day. In addition, I also enjoy watching TV, especially when I am comfortably curled up on the sofa with various snacks and drinks by my side; those moments bring me immense satisfaction. Eating fried chicken is an especially joyful experience for me, with its crispy skin and tantalizing aroma that makes my mouth water. However, I don’t particularly like cilantro as I find its taste somewhat peculiar and not to my liking.

At school, the class I look forward to the most is physical education. It allows me to engage in activities with my classmates, whether it’s playing soccer, badminton, or other fun sports. Among these, I love playing badminton the most. Swinging the racket and watching the shuttlecock glide lightly through the air is an indescribable joy. While PE fills me with energy, math can be a bit challenging for me, as the numbers and calculations sometimes make me feel a little dizzy.

我叫溫丞毅，是一位住在佳平部落的排灣族小男生，目前就讀於武潭國小佳平分校四年級。我熱愛我們部落的自然環境和文化，這讓我的生活充滿了獨特的色彩。

我平時最大的興趣之一是閱讀，尤其在睡前讀書會讓我感到格外放鬆和愉快，這也是我結束一天時的最佳選擇。除此之外，我也很喜歡看電視，尤其是當我舒適地窩在沙發上時，身旁還有各式零食和飲料，這樣的時光讓我感到無比滿足。對我來說，吃炸雞是一件特別開心的事，因為它酥脆的外皮和香氣讓人垂涎欲滴。不過，我並不喜歡香菜，覺得它的味道有點特別，不太合我的口味。

在學校裡，我最期待的課程是體育課。體育課讓我能夠和同學們一起活動，無論是踢足球、打羽球還是其他各種運動，我都覺得非常開心。其中，我最愛的是打羽球，揮動球拍，看著羽球在空中輕盈飛舞，那種感覺真是說不出的快樂。雖然體育課讓我充滿活力，但數學課對我來說卻有點困難，因為那些數字和運算總是讓我覺得有些頭昏眼花。

I enjoy playing outdoors the most, especially rolling in the mud, which makes me feel free and happy, like a carefree little wild boar in nature. The playground is another place that brings me joy. I love playing soccer with my classmates, chasing the ball, and savoring the sense of achievement when I score a goal from the penalty spot. This feeling is truly exhilarating and fulfilling. Speaking of food, I particularly enjoy eating fried chicken. Its crispy coating and savory taste make every bite full of happiness. However, eggplant is not very appealing to me, especially when cooked. Its soft texture and dark purple color just don’t suit my palate.

At school, my favorite subject is physical education because we get to participate in various fun activities such as relay races, shuttlecock kicking, and playing badminton. Running is especially attractive to me because, while running, I feel the wind rushing past my ears, and that sense of freedom is unmatched. The joy of winning a race is particularly unforgettable. In contrast, I find science a bit challenging at times, as the content can sometimes feel complex.

My dream for the future is to become a successful entrepreneur. I hope to run my own company, earn a substantial income, and fulfill my goals of buying houses and cars, creating a comfortable and beautiful life for my family and myself. I believe that with hard work, anything is possible.

我叫呂亮均，英文名字是Jack，是住在佳平部落的一位活潑開朗的排灣族小男生，目前就讀於武潭國小佳平分校四年級。我非常熱愛我們部落周圍的大自然，這裡的山林和文化給我的生活增添了無數樂趣。

我平常最喜歡到戶外玩耍，尤其是在泥巴裡打滾，這讓我感到自由又開心，彷彿變成了一隻在大自然中無憂無慮的小山豬。操場上是我的另一個快樂天地，我喜歡和同學們一起踢足球，追著足球奔跑，並享受在十二碼罰球中成功踢進球門的成就感。這種感覺真的讓人無比興奮和滿足。說到食物，我特別喜歡吃炸雞，香脆的外皮和鹹香的味道讓每一口都充滿幸福。不過，茄子對我來說不是那麼吸引人，尤其煮熟後那柔軟的口感和深紫色總讓我覺得不太合胃口。

在學校裡，我最喜愛的科目是體育課，因為我們能參加各種有趣的活動，比如接力賽跑、踢毽子和打羽毛球。跑步特別吸引我，因為在奔跑中，我感受到風從耳邊呼嘯而過，那種暢快的感覺無與倫比。尤其當我在比賽中取得勝利時，那份喜悅更是讓人難以忘懷。相比之下，自然課對我來說有點挑戰，因為內容有時會讓人覺得複雜。

At home, my favorite pastime is watching TV. Even when it gets late at night, my eyes remain bright and alert, like a nocturnal owl. Besides watching TV, I also love eating the delicious meals my mom prepares. My absolute favorite is her stir-fried water spinach paired with braised pork. The crisp, fresh texture of the vegetables combined with the savory taste of the braised pork makes it an unbeatable dish. I can eat multiple bowls of rice with it and still crave more! Another favorite of mine is pan-fried dumplings. The golden, crispy skin and juicy, flavorful filling make every bite a pure delight. However, I really don’t like amaranth. Cooked amaranth is soft and has a strange taste that I find unpleasant, so I tend to avoid it.

At school, my favorite subject is science. It’s not only interesting but also hands-on. I get to conduct experiments, observe various plants and animals, and even raise rhinoceros beetles. Learning through videos also allows me to discover fascinating scientific knowledge I’ve never encountered before. On the other hand, I’m not as fond of social studies. There’s so much to memorize, and it often leaves me feeling dizzy and overwhelmed. Still, I know it’s an important subject, and I’m working on finding better ways to learn it.

I have two dreams for the future. One is to become an inventor, creating useful and fun devices that make life more convenient. For example, I want to design a robot that can automatically clean and organize rooms, helping families save time and energy. My other dream is to become a paleontologist. I’d love to spend my days digging up and studying fossils, uncovering the secrets of dinosaurs and the ancient world. The idea of contributing to science while satisfying my curiosity is incredibly exciting to me.

在家裡，我最喜歡的娛樂就是看電視。即使看到晚上，我的雙眼仍然炯炯有神，家人總是笑著說我像一隻夜晚活躍的貓頭鷹。除了看電視，我還很愛吃媽媽煮的飯菜，特別是她精心烹調的空心菜配滷肉，那種清脆鮮嫩的口感搭配鹹香的滷肉，簡直是一道絕佳的美食。我可以連續吃好幾碗飯，還覺得意猶未盡。此外，煎餃也是我的最愛，金黃酥脆的外皮包裹著鮮嫩多汁的內餡，每一口都是一種享受。不過，我真的不喜歡莧菜，煮過的莧菜軟軟的，還有一股我不太能接受的味道，讓我望而卻步。

在學校裡，我對自然科最感興趣。自然課不僅有趣，還讓我能動手操作各種科學實驗，觀察各種動植物的奧秘。我特別喜歡養獨角仙，觀察牠們的生活習性讓我覺得既有趣又神奇。此外，透過影片學習科學知識更是一種享受，能夠讓我了解許多以前從未聽說過的知識。然而，相較之下，我對社會課就沒那麼熱衷了，因為需要背誦的內容很多，常常讓我感到頭昏腦脹。但我知道，這些知識也很重要，我會努力找到學習它的好方法。

I live in the beautiful Jiaping Village, Taiwu Township, Pingtung County. My family includes my mom, dad, grandpa, older sister, and older brother. I have big, bright eyes, and my family often says they are full of curiosity and enthusiasm. We have a warm and harmonious family where everyone cares for one another.

My favorite food is bread because it’s soft and sweet, just like cotton candy. Every time I eat it, I feel especially happy. I also love playing on slides because sliding down from a high place makes me feel free and joyful. However, my least favorite fruit is durian because its strong smell keeps me far away!

My mom sells betel nuts, and sometimes I help her wrap them. My grandpa often encourages me, saying I’m doing a great job, which makes me feel very proud. My dad is in charge of garbage collection and contributes a lot to keeping our community clean. My mom often says that if I ever get the chance, I could work with my dad, and that thought makes me feel proud too.

My biggest dream is to become a singer when I grow up because I love singing. My family says I have a sweet voice, and I hope to one day stand on stage and let more people hear me sing.

我最喜歡吃的是麵包，因為它柔軟又香甜，就像棉花糖一樣，每次吃起來都讓我覺得特別開心。我還很喜歡玩溜滑梯，從高處滑下來的感覺讓我感到自由和快樂。不過，我最不喜歡的水果是榴槤，因為它的味道實在太濃了，讓我不敢靠近！

我的媽媽在賣檳榔，有時候我會幫忙包檳榔，爺爺常常鼓勵我說我很棒，這讓我覺得非常自豪。我的爸爸則是負責收垃圾的，他會為社區的環境付出很多，媽媽常說如果有機會，我可以跟著爸爸一起工作，這讓我覺得很驕傲。

I really love drawing because it allows me to create lots of interesting pictures. My family includes my dad, mom, older brother, older sister, and grandpa. We all get along very well. 我的家裡有爸爸、媽媽、哥哥、姐姐和爺爺，我們一家人相處得非常融洽。我特別喜歡吃草莓，因為草莓酸酸甜甜的，吃起來讓人心情很好。我最愛玩的遊戲是盪鞦韆，每次盪得越高，我就覺得越刺激、越開心。不過我最不喜歡喝藥水，因為它的味道苦苦的，讓我有點害怕。

我的爸爸在鐵工部工作，媽媽在一家土雞城裡工作，有很多客人的時候，我會幫忙端菜，還會幫忙擦桌子，媽媽都會誇我很懂事。我在家裡也會幫忙做一些家務，比如整理房間、曬衣服、幫爺爺洗碗、拖地，讓家裡更乾淨、整潔。

Through archaeological and anthropological research, we know that Taiwan's indigenous peoples have demonstrated remarkable skills since the Changbin culture, including advanced iron-smelting techniques. Three thousand years ago, the Ketagalan people’s shell-weaving skills allowed them to sell shells as currency to Chinese dynasties, a testament to the indispensable role of Taiwan's indigenous people in world civilization.

Today, Taiwan officially recognizes sixteen indigenous groups, including the Amis, Atayal, Bunun, Paiwan, Rukai, Puyuma, Saisiyat, Tsou, Thao, Yami (Tao), Kavalan, Truku, Seediq, Sakizaya, Kanakanavu, and Hla’alua. Each group has developed its own distinct culture, shaped by its geographical location and heritage. The Yami (Tao) are famous for their traditional fishing canoes, while Amis songs resonated worldwide when performed at the Atlanta Olympics. The Puyuma are known for their warrior spirit in the unique Palakuan military culture, while the Atayal and Saisiyat have maintained intricate facial tattoo traditions. Each tribe contributes its own customs: the Thao’s pestle music, the Bunun’s eight-part harmonies, the Tsou’s sacred War God Festival, and the polytheistic beliefs and social hierarchies of the Paiwan and Rukai. Collectively, these traditions bring a vibrant and diverse cultural essence to Taiwan.

Within this cultural diversity, Taiwan’s indigenous societies feature both matrilineal and patrilineal structures, as well as class-based societies with nobility and commoners alongside egalitarian elder councils. In these communities, personal worth is determined by one’s contributions and skills, with communal sharing mechanisms in place to ensure that those in need are supported by the tribe. Whether in the famous Wushe Incident, where the Seediq bravely resisted imperial forces, or in the wisdom of Chief Maho, who protected his people through negotiation, Taiwan’s indigenous people have left an indelible mark on its history. Indigenous livelihoods—whether hunting, farming, or gathering—reflect a harmonious relationship with natural resources, embodying values of sustainability that have earned them the title “Guardians of the Forest.”

Every ethnic group in Taiwan has a unique and proud cultural identity, one that deserves to be cherished, preserved, and celebrated. During the Qing Dynasty, mass migration and enforced assimilation policies posed an unprecedented threat to the bloodlines and cultures of plains indigenous groups, a great loss. Today, Taiwan is fortunate to retain the rich heritage of over a dozen indigenous groups who continue to play vital roles in Taiwan’s cultural development. They remain among Taiwan's most significant cultural assets.

世界上被稱作「福爾摩沙」的地方並不多，其中又以台灣最為世人所知；從北到南多樣的海島型氣候，不但孕育出豐富而特有的動植物生態，在這裡的也創造了多元而生動的原住民歷史文化，成為台灣最引以為傲的自然與人文的奇珍。

透過考古人類學的研究得知從長濱文化起始，台灣原住民族就展現了高超的冶鐵技術，三千年前，凱達格蘭人曾以精湛的織貝技術，將貝殼賣給中國王朝當作貨幣，足以向世人證明台灣原住民族在世界文明不可或缺的地位。

目前台灣的原住民族共有十六族（政府認定），包含有阿美、泰雅、布農、排灣、魯凱、卑南、賽夏、鄒、邵、雅美（達悟）、噶瑪蘭、太魯閣、賽德克、撒奇萊雅、卡那卡那富、拉阿魯哇等，各族群依其分布的地理環境與人文特色也發展出不同的文化面貌。雅美（達悟）族的拼板舟聞名國內外，阿美族的歌謠曾在亞特蘭大奧運為台灣向世界發聲，卑南族特有的巴拉冠軍事文化展現強大不屈的精神，泰雅與賽夏的特有的紋面文化習俗，邵族的杵音，布農族的八部合音，鄒族莊嚴神聖的戰神祭，排灣與魯凱族的多神信仰與階級社會制度，台灣的原住民族為這個土地上注入多元而豐富的人文特色！

在這多元的文化習俗裡，有母系與父系的不同社會形態，有階級分明的貴族平民制度與平等的長老社會，在原住民族的社會裡，人的價值取決於其對族群的貢獻與能力，並且透過部落共有共享的機制，使得無力生存者，也能透過分配而獲得部落族人的照顧。無論是著名的霧社事件中，賽德克族浴血抵禦強大軍國的驍勇事蹟，或是偉大的馬亨亨頭目透過溝通避免戰事，成功保護部落族人，原住民族在台灣歷史中皆有著輝煌的一頁。原住民族的生計不論是山林狩獵，農作耕種，或是採集，在與自然資源共存共榮的生活方式與價值觀中，過著自給自足的生活，並被譽為「山林的守護神」。

台灣每一個民族都有其獨特而值得驕傲的文化特色，值得珍惜、保存與發揚。清朝時期漢人大量移民來台，強制的同化政策導致平埔族原住民人的血緣與文化，面臨空前的消失危機，令世人遺憾。今日我們有幸仍保留先民特色的十餘族原住民，未來在台灣文化的發展中仍繼續扮演著重要的角色，也成為台灣最重要的文化資產。

The Paiwan people are primarily distributed between the northern boundary of Mount Dawu, extending south to the Hengchun Peninsula, west to Fangliao, and east to Taimali and Xinyuan in Taitung City, encompassing both Pingtung and Taitung counties along the southern segment of Taiwan’s Central Mountain Range. Within the Paiwan, there are two primary subgroups: the Ravar and the Vuculj, classified according to kinship customs and self-identification.

The Ravar subgroup centers around the Davaran community in Sandimen Township, originating from the village of Davaran. Ravar society is characterized by its tradition of wearing lilies and a social system of inheritance that favors the eldest son. They are known for their expertise in carving and pottery-making. The Vuculj subgroup primarily resides in the townships of Majia, Taiwu, Chunri, Shizi, and Mudan in Pingtung County, as well as Daren, Dawu, Jinfeng, Taimali, and Xinyi neighborhoods in Taitung City.

The old villages along both sides of Mount Dawu, such as Padain (Gao Yan), Payuan (Fawan), Puljti (Jiaxing), Kuljaljau (Gulou), and Tjalja’avus (Laiyi), are considered ancestral homes. Within their cultural practices, the Vuculj observe the Five-Year Festival and uphold customs of gender equality and inheritance by the eldest child. Although the Paiwan engaged in trade and other forms of contact with the outside world during the Dutch and Qing periods, they have retained a rich and intact cultural heritage.

Under Japanese colonial rule, traditional Paiwan values and customs faced challenges from agricultural development, currency circulation, the use of the Japanese language, and policies enforcing governmental authority over indigenous communities. Later, the Republic of China government facilitated the introduction of Western religions, significantly increasing the number of Paiwan Christians. Today, churches and chapels can be found in nearly every Paiwan village.

排灣族文化中以家名、家族的觀念與嚴謹的階級體系，貫穿社會中政治、婚姻、宗教與藝術各層面。排灣族人在小米收成後舉行「小米收穫祭」。另外，布曹爾群每五年辦理「五年祭」，迎請來探視子孫的祖靈，又稱為「人神盟約祭」。 排灣族（Paiwan）的分布，北以大武山、南到恆春半島、西到枋寮、東到太麻里及臺東市新園里的範圍，屬於中央山脈南段大武山兩側，包含屏東、臺東兩縣為範圍。排灣族（Paiwan）內按照血緣風俗與族群自我分類，可分為拉瓦爾（Ravar）跟布曹爾（Vuculj）兩大群系。 拉瓦爾群以三地門鄉的達瓦蘭社群為核心，以「達瓦蘭」為部落起源，社會文化上有百合花的配戴風俗，以及長男繼承的社會制度；在雕刻與陶壺藝術方面表現相當出色。布曹爾群系主要分布在屏東縣瑪家、泰武、春日、獅子、牡丹鄉及臺東縣達仁、大武、金峰、太麻里等鄉，還有臺東市的新圍里等地區。 以南北大武山兩側的老聚落：Padain（高燕）、Payuan（筏灣）、Puljti（佳興）、Kuljaljau（古樓）、Tjalja’avus（來義）為祖居地，文化中有五年祭活動以及男女平權、長嗣繼承的制度。排灣族在荷蘭、清領時代，與外界有接觸與貿易交流的經驗，但仍然保留豐富、完整的民族文化與風俗。日本殖民統治時期之後，因為農業開發、貨幣流通、日語使用、行政官員的理蕃制度，從不同層面挑戰了排灣族的傳統文化觀念。中華民國政府之後，西方宗教的傳入使信仰基督宗教的族人增加，每個部落都可以看到教會或教堂的存在。
