The impact was mixed, but leaned destructive. While the Mongols brought international trade and some innovations, their harsh policies and disruption of Chinese social structures caused long-lasting damage to Chinese cultural identity and traditional institutions.

I think the Mongols' rule of China was more destructive than beneficial to Chinese civilization. Though it's not to say that they didn't do anything beneficial to Chinese civilization, they heavily taxed Chinese people during their rule which prioritized survival over education and more. For these reasons, I think that the Mongol rule was more destructive.

In my opinion it was a bit of both because they greatly expanded China's territory but they also put an end to a lot of China's cultural and religious beliefs, and they also heavily taxed them.

I think that the Mongol rule of China was more destructive, with their way of tending to be more brutal than others, and their 'laws' were carried more by their cruel nature. They made a few things useful to China, like opening trade routes, but I'm sure that the people in China could have done that themselves without all the unnecessary heavy taxing that the Mongols gave them.
