Trust vs Mistrust is when a child learns how to trust people. Trust is a very important milestone in a child's life. If a child does not learn to trust they will have problems later in life.

I believe it was Trust because I know I can depend on the adults in my life. I don't know of a specific event, but I can guess that it involved my parents helping me with something when I needed it.

Children are learning to initiate social interactions. If they are able to do this with success, they will be able to lead people with confidence later in life.

I believe it was Initiative because I am great at leading others and rarely feel self-doubt.

Children need to learn who they are and develop a sense of self. This stage is meant to accomplish that. If the child has proper support from the adults in their life then they can figure out what their identity is and go into adulthood with an idea of what they want to do.

I believe it was Identity because I am confident in my sense of self. I believe this happened when I entered high school and learned what I wanted to do for a living. I realized what I really enjoyed and decided to go for it.
