This subject is one important part of our daily lives. For everything there is chemistry, not just in school, but everywhere. This is the stepping stone of the scientists of the next generation for they will have the power to innovate lives for the better.

From learning the uses and care for different laboratory apparatuses, gives the learner knowledge and carefulness of movement inside the workplace. To understanding atoms and elements, for these may seem to be complicated for some, but essential lessons to comprehend. I can say that chemistry is fascinating just from the Periodic Table itself, because it is well-studied, well-measured, and well-constructed. There is nothing for me to worry about as I continue learning chemistry but I just hope that the teacher-student interaction will be an effective way of learning.

Zean Iris P. Dignadice
11-Sirius
December 12, 2016

Chemistry Anywhere Everywhere
Chemistry is in my opinion the most important of the sciences today. Chemistry explores the properties of all matter and energy in our universe, which eventually leads to breakthroughs that benefit mankind, ranging from how to prevent food from decomposing to understanding what chemicals can help or harm you. Although there have been thousands of crucial discoveries, there are still many questions with unknown answers. As a science of matter and its properties. The sheer number of applications of chemistry is why I believe it is so important and motivates me to study the subject further.

Success in anything is the ability to take what one is given and use the tools they have to apply them to problems and find solutions. Chemistry is no different. This only confirmed to me that chemistry is everywhere, and can be applied to any given situation. We should appreciate it and learn more about Chemistry to help contribute in this field of science someday.

Name: Bonizza Mae J. Sarco Grade & Section: 11-Sirius
Subject: Chemistry Date: December 12, 2016

Our Chemistry in Daily Life

It is a fact that our lives would never be easy for life itself is full of surprises and secrets to unravel but, on the process on moving forward with our day-to-day living, Chemistry had given us the opportunity to feel like life can get easy with the help of science and technology.
With the lifestyle people possess right now, I believe, we have no right to think of something, that we think, is something that we use that is not related to Chemistry. Everything has its own composition. Everything has its origin. And everything has to do with Chemistry.
Science and technology gave us the chance to create things that gave our life a more convenient way of living. And Chemistry is one its branches and I observed that it is the most used branch of science in the day-to-day activities we are doing.
Detergents, soap, medicine, and everything that you see, watch and use has to do with chemistry. Even the machines that were invented, its parts, can be explained by chemistry on how it works and why it compliments with each other. Thus, everything has to do with Chemistry.
Given the fact that everything we use in our routine everyday, every single person can conclude that we cannot live without chemistry in our lives. Even in love, people tend to relate Chemistry. See? Materially and even emotionally, chemistry always crawls its way to our lives.

Name: John Aldrick G. Labastida
Grade 11-Sirius

Chemistry has been a necessity to our daily life like how important it is in school. Last week, we learned about the classifications of matter and how to use periodic table.

Matter has two main classifications: pure substance and mixture. Pure substance is a matter that has a definite and constant composition. A pure substance can either be an element, compose of a single atom, or a compound that is composed of two or more elements. An example of pure substance is gold while an example of a compound is water. Another classification of matter is mixture. It is a matter consists of two or more substances that are physically mixed but not chemically combined. A mixture can either be a homogenous or heterogeneous. Homogeneous mixture, or often called solution, has the same uniform appearance and composition while heterogeneous mixture are consist of visibly different substance or phase.

Periodic table is an arrangement of chemical elements by their atomic number. Each element ca n be classified by groups (vertical) or periods (horizontal), or as metal, nonmetal and metalloids. Each element has its number of neutrons, protons and electrons. These are used to determine its mass number and atomic number.
After each lesson, we take an activity to test if we really understand it. At the end, we learned how to determine if a matter is a pure substance or a mixture, and how to get the mass number and the atomic number of a element by using the periodic table.
