If your able to get over the technological hurdle and the ability to accept getting a pig kidney i belive it would be a good thing for the future.

I am concerned with the treatment of the animals in question. I’m afraid that they are just mass producing animals then killing them when they take what they need from them. I know that is their purpose, but it’s kind of ethically concerning. There is a great need for it, though, so maybe they can improve their tactics!

    How intense is the patient monitoring for life?

    What is the likelihood of contaminant/infections? I’m also concerned with the risk of zoonic infections becoming a widespread public health issue.

    Does the genetic editing harm the pigs? What are the ethical implications of using pigs for humans? I think is a similar issue to the animal testing discussion.
