One of the first times she was hit was when she was slapped by her husband frank at the get together with Frank's friends he slapped her because she was yelling back at him and his friends were watching. She got traumatized because her friends would act psycho and one her friend led to not remembering who Mona was. She saw people change with drugs and she never wanted that for herself. Drugs impacted her relationship so much that it led her to not liking drugs at all. She saw many people lose their lifes to dumb things like life decisions. There was a point wwhere she thought she couldn't do her job because she got tramatized with someones death. After she changed her whole life around, she was very proud of the new person she became. There was people that didn't believe she could do it and people that would talk down on her name due to her past but that didn't stop her from reaching her goals.
