- What is happening, where and why? Hurricane Melissa hit Jamaica and Cuba a Category 5 storm because warm sea temperatures caused rapid growth. It caused destruction, strong winds, and heavy rainfall in the region.

  • The article covers the recent lack of climate agreements between countries, especially in the recent cop 30 summit. Many countries that contribute the most to climate change through emissions and such are unwilling to either talk about the issue or fund climate efforts with the US not sending any representatives to the COP summit.

  • This article highlights the lack of development countries are taking which will lead to the actual threat of climate change to further worsen as countries are unwilling to take any action or fufill any promises.
