  • Students have shown interest in previous discussions about the meaning of the flag and what it stands for. When learning about other symbols, students asked about the flag due to Flag Day being close by.
  • In our current curriculum we are studying other symbols in the United States such as the Statue of Liberty and the bald eagle. Students use the history of the symbols to have more of a appreciation for the country we live in
  • In the future, learners will be able to use the facts of the American flag to share what the flag means to them when we stand around the flag for Flag Day.

    - I will then glue the hands in the shape of red stripes onto a white sheet of paper with stars in the upper left corner.
