When the news spread along the white community, a white mob brutally beat and murdered Till. The woman who accused Emmett, Sarah Page, was on her death bed when she admitted that she lied about the incident.

This changes how we view the culture of the white population in America. We see instances like this where they lie to kill, steal from, and destroy black people in any way they could out of the pure hatred in their hearts for African Americans, solely because of the color of their skin. Their rapid migration to North Chicago caused competition for jobs and over-crowding in urban ghettos, which enraged the white Chicago population. The riot began on the South side of Chicago when an African American child was swimming in Lake Michigan and accidentally floated to the side of the lake for whites only. The white people present stoned the boy causing him to drown, and causing most of the town to gather around the lake when the news spread quickly. When the police arrived they refused to arrest the white man responsible, a fight broke out that lasted for 13 days. In the end, 1000 black people were left homeless, 537 injured, and 38 dead.

This changes the perspective of politics and government today, because we now view them as unjust. They didn't do anything for the justice of Eugene who was killed, but they always make sure to avenge white victims. We now view the government to favor white people and be consistently unfair because of events like this. When black men were given the right to vote, they started businesses, owned land, and worked really hard to have almost the same income as the white man. One business the black population proudly owned were their saloons. The white population disapproved of the saloons saying they had pictures of nude woman in them, which gave them a reason to blame the assault of white woman on black males or black saloon owners. On September 23, a newspaper reported 4 alleged assaults, none of which were taken to trial r formally proven to be true. However, the papers caused mobs of whites to gather in the streets, and eventually as anger and the need for revenge circled the city, they attacked black owned businesses, saloons, and much more. They beat any black people they could find in the streets to death, men and woman, until they were stopped by the militia. On September 24, a huge mob of black people met in Atlanta to plot their revenge. When they were found meeting in Brownsville by the militia, in fear of punishment, they released a raid on Brownsville. The blacks were heavily armed,  but so were the militia. They arrested over 250 black people when no white citizens were arrested for their raid the day prior.

It began to worsen when the city became crowded and black people were moving close to European neighborhoods. The white began experiencing job competition and the influence of the black vote in representatives which caused them to attack. White families expressed "fear for their children" with all the black families being close to them and attending school. At this time, alleged assaults on white woman by black men were extremely high. Europeans were angry that blacks were moving lose to their neighborhoods, and raided the streets of black neighborhoods running blacks people off the streets, destroying their houses with bricks and stones, until stopped by the militia. Many black families fled from Atlanta or were left homeless after the incident. No whites who participated were arrested.

This changes the way we view culture, specifically f white individuals. They found a way to be angry at black success, when the black population simply minded their business. The riot began when the police raided a club that was filled with African Americans celebrating the return of two Vietnam war veterans. They arrested 82 African Americans. The black community in Detroit that witnessed the raid protested, vandalizing property, looted businesses, and burning buildings. Som of the deeper causes of the riot were ongoing constant segregation, racism, and lack of job opportunities for black Americans. As more military were summoned they used unnecessary force against black protesters that were publicized and caused more protesting and rioting throughout the black community.

Victims: 82 black citizens that were arrested, and black citizens who were hurt or killed unnecessarily by the police.

This changes how we view Government and Politics. Because they arrested many African Americans who did no wrong fr simply having a party for war veterans. It shows how they don't even truly care about the black military participants, and simply use them to win wars. They used to, and still do arrest black citizens out of the hatred they had for the black population. It also reveals how we have to riot, fight and protest to ge recognition and make a change. e have to force the change, because they government won't change their ideals.

The victim Bertie Lindsay, was murdered and the blame went to Maurice Mays, a well known black activist and political figure. When the news was released in the paper the sheriff anticipated the tension coming and ordered for Mays to be transferred to another jail. Despite the transfer, white mobs raided the jail breaking down the for looking for Mays destroying the jail, and releasing white prisoners. When Mays couldn't be found, the white mobs raided black owned houses and buildings setting them on fire, throwing stones, and attempting to beat black people on the streets. However, the black population retaliated and returned the fire to the white's buildings as well. The commotion ended when one of the police killed one of their own men on accident, and shooting arose. Most fled the streets, and 6 blacks and 1 white were killed. Mays was sentenced to death.

This makes us view regional societal attitude differently because we now see how black men were viewed as well known predators to white woman. On August 11, 1965, Marquette and Robert Frye were pulled over for drunken driving. When Marquette who was driving failed a field test for sobriety, he was being arrested. Out of fear and drunken behavior he resisted arrest causing an altercation between him and one of the officers. Backup was called when Robert jumped in to protect his brother. The police arrives assuming the accumulating crowd was hostile and attacked one of the crowd members causing an altercation between the crowd nd police too now. Marquette was struck in the face with a baton and more police arrived as the crowd was now hundreds, and they used shotguns to keep the crowd back from the car. As two police officers were trying to leave the scene, one was spit on, and they aggressively arrested Ann Gaines, a pregnant woman, who they assumed spat at them. When the news traveled that a pregnant woman was aggressively arrested for something she didn't do and simply standing in the crowd a full riot broke out. Bricks, stones and bottles were thrown at the police cars, buildings were burned, and citizens came armed to fight against the police. The riot lasted days, and Marquette and Robert were released on bail.

This changes how we view Government and Politics. They were hostile with pregnant woman, and a crowd who had done nothing. Bystanders were attacked for simply being bystanders. This reached readers on the other side of the Ohio River which threatened Kentucky slave holders and Cincinnati merchants who traded with them.Within a week of the paper being released, white mobs attacked the predominantly black 1st and 4th wards. They burned buildings, beat black people on the streets, burned down black tenements and businesses killing an unknown number of black people. The mob ruled the streets until the governor declared martial law. The rioting was set off again when there was an altercation between a white and black citizen on the 4th of July. The next day white mobs raided the building that publishes the paper Birney released and burned it down. They then targeted white abolitionists invading their homes and destroying them. Barney made a new publishing building for the paper, but when the news spread the mob formed again to destroy that one as well. The rioting finally ended when police were sent to patrol the streets for 3 days. No arrests were made despite the numerous deaths.

This makes me view white culture differently. We realize how unstable the white community is that they turned on each other, and destroyed white abolitionist's homes. They wanted to attend school, enter restaurants, stop unnecessary police brutality, and simply be treated like normal human beings. They started fires, destroyed stores, etc. This lasted fr 4 days and the riot represented a flash point from all the unfairness the black community had been put through.

I think this shows how we can use the Americans value for Economy as an advantage. By destroying building, vandalizing, burning, the police might began to listen. They lose a lot of money and our government hates that. This isn't the best ethical way to do things, but migt be the only way to get things done.

The exact incident is unknown. The police claim that Brown was suspect in a robbery, and the items were found in his possession which provoked their actions, this was never proven. Multiple peaceful protests were made regarding this incident, and in anticipation to violence police squads were sent to patrol the area. It took months for the court to decide officer Wilson would be charged for the rights he violated of Brown. However, on November 24, 2014, the court decided to drop all of officer Wilson's charges. The mobs waiting outside the police department grew violent as the word was spread immediately. Buildings were torched and protesters destroyed police cars, the rioting quickly stopped because police had anticipated it and had been positioned all over the area. The Ferguson Police station continued to be investigated, and was said to have nothing wrong with it. After officer Wilson wasn't charged the chief of the Ferguson Police Department, Thomas Jackson, stepped down.

This changed how we view government and politics today. The police were extremely biased, Brown was never proven to commit a crime, and his death was completely unnecessary and race provoked. Te fact of how recent the incident was is shocking and really opens my eyes to how our government, even being an electoral system, can easily abuse their power.
