The five projects I made were the Greek-inspired item, rewrote an outcome of one of the books we read, I read one of the poems to the class, shared what I learned, wrote a narrative from the shipmates' perspective, and reciting ten Greek words to the class. What I have learned all throughout while doing these projects is the importance of time management. I feel that I used my time significantly well, doing the projects little by little, and completing them when I could.

Completing these projects was both fun and challenging as I had to use what I learned from The Odyssey to create multiple hands-on projects. I also had to research further about Ancient Greece to complete these projects, and I ended with more knowledge on these topics than when I'd started.

I enjoyed this project. The main reason I liked it was because we had time to complete the projects whenever we found the time to do them. We were given a set of rules, and were able to be creative with the prompts. I learned more about Odysseus' journey, and I worked on time management.

Doing these projects was really fun and interesting. I got to use my brain power to the fullest, and I think I did a really good job at it. My favorite project was making the jewelry set. I love making bracelets, especially for myself. From the Odyssey, I learned that Scylla is actually very terrifying. I think Odysseus is a very brave person, he just needs to lower his ego.

I have learned the order of the places that odysseus went. I have also learned about Hades and his symbols. An interesting fact I could take away is that the sirens originated as birds and eventually progressed into mermaids.

As I completed these projects, I had fun but I also had to be creative and use what I learned from the Odyssey. I had to get out of my comfort zone and use tools I hadn’t used before. My favorite part was making the mural because I had to be creative and tried my best to exhibit how hard it is for a warrior to keep fighting and I got to try out a new drawing app. Overall, I had lots of fun with this project and I think I did very well.

Thalassa, daughter of Aesop, has many characteristics we’ve discussed in class and many that make her unique. Unlike most epic hero’s, she is female. Like most epic hero’s, she is favored by a goddess/god (Athena) and uses her wit and arrow to persevere in trials set by the gods.

She fights to protect her family and people from enemies both on the battlefield and in court

In this project, I created a mask, mural, artifact, and map. My mask was based on the sirens Odysseus encounters. My mural was inspired by the greek goddesses Aphrodite and Hera, and my artifact was inspired by the greek goddess of beauty, Aphrodite. Lastly, the map was of Odysseus' journey throughout the Odyssey. What I’ve learned from these projects is perseverance, even if I didn’t want to do them. An example is when I was painting my vase, I was so tired of waiting for the paint to dry, even with a blow dryer, I decided to push through it and finish. Another thing I learned was time management, I discovered this because I knew I couldn’t procrastinate because my projects wouldn’t receive my full creative attention. Lastly, I learned that Sirens are bird people, I found this out when I was searching “Sirens in the Odyssey” for my mask and realized they were bird people, but over time they were perceived to be mermaids. After completing my projects I have learned more about Odyssues' Journey, Posidens symbol, the Cyclops, and Aphrodite. For these to become complete I had to be creative and determined. My favorite part was having to use my creativity to make each of my projects just from things in my house. All and all, I really enjoyed this project and would definetly want to do something like this in the future!

As I completed these projects I had to use my knowledge from the book to help me. I had fun making all of my projects. A challenge I had while creating my greek inspired item was wondering what I was going to use to create it. This project also helped me gain more knowledge on the book than what I had before. It also taught me how to get out my confront zone and to be creative.

I started drawing the Greek mural and I drew a trojan horse with people inside representing how they attacked those people when they were hiding in the wooden horse. Next, I drew the map of Odysseus' journey, on the map where I marked where he started and finished representing the 20-year-long journey. I created a monster mask representing the sirens that Odysseus' had to face on his journey, it was a half-woman half-bird monster. I picked the lotus flower because it represented a hold on their journey because his men forgot all about their homeland.

In this main project I have made a PSA, a siren song, a Greek mural of, a rewrite of the lotus eaters, and recited 10 Greek words.
My PSA was based on the lotus flower. My Greek mural was based off of a siren in the traditional ancient Greek style.My rewrite of the lotus eaters was based off of their perspective/ I recited 10 Greek words that would be useful in everyday conversation. Lastly, I composed a song on my cello depicting what I think a siren would should like.
What I learned about this project is to really analyze the text that i'm reading. I could have never completed these projects with a surface level of knowledge on the happenings in toe Odyssey.
I also learned a lot about myself during this project. I learned how I manage my time, and I also learned habits that I have. Habits both good and bad.
