Born on April 25, 1874, in bologna, Italy, to an Italian father and an Irish mother. His earlier education occurred mostly at home, but was given schoolwork in Florence and Leghorn, and by his own practical experiments with electricity. in 1894 he learned of Heinrich Hertz's 1888 discovery of radio waves. inspired, he audited the classes of Augusto Righi, a radio wave expert, at the university of Bologna. Where the professor saw only an interesting scientific phenomenon, Marconi has a vision of mass communication

He was a Nobel Prize winning physicist and inventor credited with the groundbreaking work necessary for all future radios. In 1895 Marconi built a radio transmitter (an oscillator in which an electrical circuit produced radio waves) and receiver (a glass tube of metal fillings, known as a coherer). Improving the apparatus, he added insulated wire antennae and grounded the transmitter and received radio signal across a distance of about two and a half kilometers

His legacy was to have a future of technology and advanced equipment even though he did not have the advanced things that we have now he still believed that some day in the future that there was a possibility that he started the advancements. and he was absolutely right he helped us become advanced with radios, and wireless telephones. If he was still here and realized his legacy i am pretty sure he would have been in shock with all of our technology advancements

In my opinion i believe he really helped us become more advanced with the items we have now. Like the wireless radio, you see those everywhere you go, they are just so common to have, he made something that was not very common and made it into something almost everyone owns one. In my opinion that pretty good.
