The author points out that emotional maturity in teenagers varies and split second decisions can end a life, especially when a gun is involved. The author also points out that data from the FBI reveals that from 2000 to 2019, more than half of the perpetrators of shooting incidents were under 18. 
I think that it is a useful source in the way that it used facts (FBI data) and the information is reliable. However, it is definitely biased and you can tell by the way that the author states their stance on this many times (nobody under 21 should be able to purchase a gun).

The article exists to raise concern over this. 
I think that it is a useful source as it has quotes from survivors of mass shootings that describe what it was like to be in that situation, and that can be used to gain empathy from the audience. The source, however, is obviously biased because the people that the quotes are from (politicians, survivors of shootings) make their opinion that we need more gun laws clear.

California the seventh lowest gun related deaths in the country. Also, California is more progressive than other states when it comes to advocating for stricter gun laws. In California, "semiautomatic guns with certain technical features, such as a flash suppressor" are banned. It also limits the amount of bullets a gun can hold to ten. 
This is a useful source because it gives an idea of what stricter gun laws could do if implemented. The source seems to be objective because it just states facts and history about California's gun laws. The goal of the source is to inform readers about the gun laws in California. 
This fits into my research because while the other sources I used mentioned the problem with gun violence, this one offers an idea for a solution. There was a solution presented in my source, which was the one about California's gun laws. It talked about the gun laws in California, which could help the country if they are implemented nationwide.
