1. More focus on educating our students of the importance of sustainability, it still surprises me that students can reach grade 11 without knowing the meaning of the word sustainability or understand the "Greenhouse Effect". 

2. A school-wide policy on maximum temperatures for classroom AC's - could we agree on a minimum AC setting of 22 degrees in classrooms. (Could have a big impact on electricity bills too!)
 
3. An outright ban on throwaway plastic water bottles.

4. Request the school lunch providers to use re-usable containers.

5. A used battery recycling bin 

6. A paper recycling bin in every class - the packaging boxes in which the printer paper is delivered are perfect for this purpose, for obvious reasons. 

7. Some signage in the car park (which every parent/driver will see) that promotes the school's environmental policy and/or gives hints and tips as to sustainable behaviour. (This is also good PR)
