Pattern Making

This project was needed to help learn the skills for photoshop. It taught me how to flip and copy layers to repeat and make a pattern. I wasn't proud of my final pattern but it definitely taught me essential tools for future projects.

Donut Design

Learning how to make the donuts was very useful as it taught me how cut holes in shapes and use gradients. Again this was a project that taught me many essential tools in photoshop.

Logo Parody

This project was very complicated because replicating the exact font and color was difficult. On the other hand it was fun twisting logos into saying things you wanted it too. With every project I'm learning and improving in Photoshop.

Logos-Initials

This project was fun because using your initials was like creating your own logo for your business. I also liked using images online to design and make them more creative. I really liked my sporty initial logo as it's very sleek and clean.

Study of Fliers

I was already very experienced with a project like this as it didn't require much photoshop skills. It was very simple and easy to complete. This certain flyer created by me is featured on a wall in Kearney High.

Zombiewood

This project was another one that I was very familiar with as I did it Sophomore year. This project was still difficult as I tried to challenge myself a little more this time. Overall I learned more useful tricks on photoshop that include adjusting the opacity of an image and erasing parts of a uploaded image.

Logos for Ms. Kernes

This project was super boring but it taught me how to use the Painting window in photoshop. I also learned how to cut out images on the web and combine them with others. It was the first project where we were making art for another person.

DIY Photoshop Week

This project made me realize I'm at the point where I'm capable of creating something using little teaching just by experimenting with tools. This project was fun because we got to choose what to create and how we did it. It was hard at first creating the glow affect but it became second nature as time went on.

Movie Poster Parodies

This was one of my favorite projects of the whole year. I love doing parody and this one was really fun as we got to choose from our favorite movies. This was also the first time that I featured myself in one of my pieces of art and I was really proud of how it looked.

Famous Art Parodies

This project was hard to mesh the faces of my friends to the head shapes of famous arts. I went for a more humorous approach with this project by adding funny photos of my friends. It was also difficult to adjust the hue of my personal photos to match the famous art. Overall it was a difficult but fun project

Graduation Ticket Design

This project was fun because I got to design something that had to do with my graduating class of 2024. It was nice getting inspiration from past chosen winners of grad tickets to know what the clients are looking for. Unfortunately my grad ticket wasn't chosen but it was fun and i'm happy with how it turned out.

Food Truck Logo

This was a very easy project as I was assigned to design a logo for a taco food truck. I added colors that relate to a fiesta theme with a man holding a taco. I also added a taco man in a to-go box because out food truck name was Tacos To Go. It was a minimalistic design but definitely eye catching with the characters.

This was a little more difficult as the room for creativity and the workspace was very limited. I put the essential items on the food truck like the logo and the name of our business. I kept it simple with the colors and just went red and yellow. I wasn't happy my final result but I was pleased.

The menu was the easiest thing to create as I just put together something simple that gets the job done. It list the items that we would sell and also the prices. I put simple Mexican items that everyone knows and enjoys.

DIY Week

I love the DIY weeks because we had free roam to create whatever we want and use our imagination. I think I did better this time around for the DIY week because I'm a lot more happy with my final result. I watched a tutorial this time that created a cool neon affect on one of my favorite rappers Travis Scott.

Reflection

I learned a lot of things taking graphic design 1. I really enjoyed this class because editing photos and making art is something that I personally think is fun. Seeing my improvement in my projects from the beginning to end was very rewarding. I have been taking photoshop classes and design classes a lot throughout high school and I would say this was my favorite class out of all of them. My favorite project of the year was the DIY weeks because we got to express our imagination.
