I chose this format because it would be a smooth transition to each geographical feature. Each post has the name of the feature and a simple summary of where it is located if you were to look on a map. It also has a few other facts and a picture of what it looks like (and a little gif at the end). 
      The two major barriers in China are the mountains and the desert. The Himalayas, for example, are a barrier for southwest China. In ancient China, it was hard for travelers and traders to get into the area; it is the same with the desert. The Gobi Desert is a hot and dry area with little water and life. It would be hard to cross it, especially with a full army. There is also the Pacific Ocean, though, because it will take a while to cross the ocean if other nations want to invade China, but it can still be crossed if it is not guarded. So, the ocean or other bodies of water might be difficult to cross, along with mountains and deserts. 
      The reason why I chose padlet was because it was simple but different. I wouldn't want to use a google slide for every assignment since it just seems repetitive. Actually, this is my first time using this site by myself, and it's pretty easy to use. It lets you choose from a variety of backgrounds, pictures, gifs, etc., and you can upload or add links to each post. The river seems to have a yellowish color because it's been contaminated by humans and/or carries sediment.
