So it makes me feel very bad because my daughter is black, and I am white, it makes me think of everything around me, of prejudices, of the hidden pains felt in the skin of those who cry tears that look more like blood.

I really liked how significant it was, like, in the second verse, when he says "let him find the honey where there was a massacre before"

So I find myself thinking that I should always think that things can get better, it doesn't mean that they will but I must do my part to make that happen.

I think this poem caught my attention more because of the irony, but also because it is realistic. He says that even the kindest white woman would be racist when no one is looking, maybe not on purpose and, as he said, get over it quickly and recognize how wrong it is to chant the word, but she does it anyway. to hear people who said they were advocates for black people saying horrible things, such as phrases as prejudiced as "Negro does not shit at the entrance, shit at the exit". People look at a brunette child and say, "you saw how black she is going to be, just look at the soles of her feet and the palm of her hand, black people only have that in white" Phrases like that make the soul hurt, see people so studied full of certificates, straws but so full of prejudice and ignorance.
