Shakespeare shot down Humanism in "Mac🅱️eth" by showing how prophecies from the supernatural cannot be avoided, even when the character intentionally pushes against it. Mac🅱️eth takes his role as king, as prophesied, but tries and fails to alter Banquo's prophecy of his children become the next rulers of Scotland. Shakespeare shows here that fate cannot be avoided.

Shakespeare incorporated Renaissance ideals in Macbeth by creating social classes using versions of speech such as iambic pentameter, rhyme, and prose. Additionally, Shakespeare added several empires into the play. Also, humanism was shown in Macbeth through Macbeth and Lady Macbeth wanting to rise in power. In Macbeth, when King Duncan is killed, his tie to God is severed which is why the strange events happen (darkness, owl attacking falcon, horses snacking on each other).

Shakespeare incorporates these ideal via use of reflection. For example, Macbeth's rise to a king is concluded by his fall after the lords revolt against him, thus mirroring the custom of the Renaissance that one could not rise in their socioeconomic status; one who is born a peasant dies a peasant. Also, the regicide in Macbeth is linked to the holiness of Renaissance kings by the unnatural events following King Duncan's death.

- Giles

Shakespeare incorporated Renaissance ideals in "Macbeth" by emphasizing the roles of familial names and social positions, as Macbeth rises to power due to his elimination of the ranks that were above him, as they were before him in the line for becoming king. The Renaissance generated the printing press, allowing the public a greater access to literature and a rise in the number of printed knowledge in their own language. The public had an improved access to information that wasn't directly controlled by the Church, allowing ideas of humanism and human idealism to appear, mirrored in Macbeth's quest to power from a lower position. This increase in secularism reduced the authority of monarchs, as we see in Macbeth as both Macbeth and Duncan are murdered.

During the Renaissance, your name, nobility, title, and land were all very important. This translates to Shakespeare in the sense that Macbeth, after hearing the prophecies of the witches, stopped at nothing in order to possess and maintain a high social status. This included killing the King Duncan and Banquo in order to make sure that there was no threat to his position and existence as king.
