Well I do not know if this is the "best" practice however, in our class meetings I briefly do a review of the last class or have a student refresh our memories. Then, we have some type of entry question in the form of a discussion or a on your own answer the question in your assignment. Then we go into our work for that day, discuss topics, issues, future tasks etc.

I have not gotten into much small group learning. I have had a couple students come on campus to work outside with our chickens a little bit. And just this week I got through my roster and made a list of who appears to be struggling. So I am reaching out to them about a smaller group time to go over class items.

I tell all my students that I am around my computer all day until 3:30 and to reach out really anytime and I will respond to them. I tell them I would rather have over communication opposed to none at all. I put an emphasis on that with it being a CTE class I tell them that communication is an employability skill and an awesome skill to be practicing right now.

I agree with Aaron, meeting at the same time everyday. Not at the beginning of class. Now that we are sort of back to in class, using the meetings to make sure everyone knows what expected the next day they are back in building. This eliminates the need to get students together as much and increases distancing.

I like Aarons method. I Have been struggling with the Zoom meeting attendance. I hold mine at the same time every day but it is at the start of the day. I think that the students who struggle with getting up early on a normal in person schedule don't have a chance of waking up and logging on to join the meeting if they don't have to leave the house that day. They just sleep through it.

I make myself available from 730AM to 3 pm. If Im in the building I can usually help them at anytime. Some students contact me through the remind app after those hours and I can usually answer their questions as well. I do shut my phone off about 8pm though. I don't need to answer stuff all night for those night owl students.

I log in to our scheduled live meeting right on time and we start class 5 minutes later. I did this because I think the students should be able to use their entire break time to do what they need. It also gives me an unstructured 5 minutes to just chat with kids. Sometimes we start more than 5 minutes late because someone is sharing something important.
I am also the last one to leave the meeting. I purposely did this so I'm accessible to students. If they have a question about class or their grade, they can just wait for everyone else to log off and they have my full attention. I've seen great results from students who have taken advantage of it.
