A third plane crashed into the Pentagon, the headquarters of the United States military. A fourth plane was intended to hit the White House but failed to reach the target. The terrorists were from Al-Qaeda, a name that soon became known worldwide. The attacks caused the death of almost 3,000 people.</div>]]></description>
