Why: Egypt's annually and predictable flooding of the Nile created an environmental advantage over Mesopotamia because Mesopotamian rivers had irregular flooding. 

Due to Mesopotamia's lack of natural barriers, they were more vunerable to attack unlike Egypt which possessed a well protected land.

This was because the Mesopotamians were harsh and distant because of their constant warfare, where Egyptians were very close to their gods.

Egyptians and Mesopotamians both adapted similar technologies.
