         <description><![CDATA[<div>He contributed to the Renaissance in many ways; he added three dimensional form in shapes which made the artwork look more realistic. He made decorations such as murals, one of his famous murals is called "Great Council Chamber of Basel’s town hall". Also, in his artwork he showed the people’s mood or inner character in their faces in the painting. Instead of using plain colors like black he started to use more colorful and creative colors. Hans Holbein had a huge contribution to art in the Renaissance. (Hans Holbein the younger)</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>In the text it states,”&nbsp; Holbein also designed the </strong><strong><em>Dance of Death</em></strong><strong> (1523/24) and the </strong><strong><em>Alphabet of Death</em></strong><strong> (1524) series of woodcuts, illustrated the Luther Bible (1522), and painted three portraits of Erasmus (1523), which established his international reputation”(Bergin).&nbsp; He won the patronage of the German merchants of the steelyard, and he created many virtuosity portraits.
