         <description><![CDATA[<div>This newspaper article was published during the time period when the Stock Market Crash in 1929. When the Stock Market Crash so much money was lost and because of this many people lives were ruined and completely changed. Everyone got scared and so they demanded their money back from the bank and the even became worse. Each little things added up and it leads to  big events. </div>]]></description>

He wrote this letter as an insurance plan but still wanted to keep it as a secret to not make a big tension of the situation. Suicide is a difficult topic to talk about but during the Great Depression it was a huge topic. Many citizens ended their life because of this and this had a huge impact. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>&nbsp;As you can see on the newspaper the men is holding it states "GRAIN PRICES UP" even though it has risen there were no crops because farmers would kill off certain animals and crops because the AAA instructed them to do so. This  causes the crops prices to increase. </div>]]></description>

She also mentions how she left school because she didn't have any books neither clothes. This letter is a great example of how children suffer because of the Great Depression.</div>]]></description>

It was a blame towards the President Herbert Hoover for the economic crisis. Homes were built from tents to anything that people could find in the street. It covered up to nine acres and the population was 1,200.</div>]]></description>

It made the american people more secure during the Great Depression. The cartoon expresses how President Roosevelt took so many risk knowing some of his ideas could fail to be able to complete his promise of the New Deal.&nbsp;Some the programs are still used today.</div>]]></description>
