Each class created with Google classroom creates a separate folder in the respective user's Google drive, where the student can submit work to be graded by a teacher

 

Teachers can easily create online classes to complement the other classes they conduct. They can share learning materials with their students and these can be viewed and downloaded conveniently. In addition, educators can create online assignments and also track students’ progress and performance in the assignments.

Students can easily access the assignments and learning materials prepared by their educator. In addition, they can use the platform to communicate with the teacher and other students anytime. Inter connectivity with Google drive and docs enables students to submit completed assignments that include rich media.

 

 

I love love love this app so much because Google always makes updates, All your works are interconnected and available online, be it Word Document/ Powerpoint /Google Form / Drive/ Files. It just makes our works easier.

1. Setting a timer

Just go to Google’s homepage and type in “online stopwatch” or  “Set a timer for X minutes/hours” Doing this will automatically load a timer above several search results and begin counting down.

The same thing can be done from the URL bar in Chrome if you don’t want to navigate all of the way to the search engine before setting a timer.

2. Setting a stopwatch

Just go to Google’s homepage and type in “online stopwatch” or “Start a stopwatch”  in the search bar. Once it’s running, you can start, stop, and restart the stopwatch.

Additionally, you can get to the stopwatch from Chrome’s URL bar or by clicking on it in the tab above the timer.

·To do my PD I set 60 minutes timer to gather researches for 1 tool and to learn about it.

·When the 60 minutes are done I take a break

·Then continue again J

· That way I could finish collecting all my contents within a planned schedule.

I love this because as a teacher I spend lot of time online and while doing my searches, I often tend to get carried away, The timer makes me realize that I need to hurry and focus in my work.

You have to plant a seed once you started your work. The seed will grow into a tree- depending upon your time spend on work. Suppose if you leave your work- tree will be killed.  Activities for today

Write a summery on …. After reading the chapter from textbook. And answer the questions at the end of the chapter.

 

The student will put a tree to plant (which will take 20 minutes) during  for this specified time they are not supposed to do anything else on using their phone as that will kill the tree.

They can focus on their homework and utilize the 20 minutes meanwhile the tree also grows.

I liked this app for students as it is more like a game because students love games and scores intimidate them to score more so why not utilize it this way? But for me I prefer using online timer tool as I can keep check on my online work.
