Without a doubt, Simon Bolivar belonged to an era where military honor was very high for that reason and for his work as a liberator he has been commemorated and remembered with respect, although there are many records of atrocious and violent acts that he also committed during that war, so no it is possible to know if people who achieved freedoms with blood should be honored.
