Hurricane Irma is hitting Florida after destroying islands off the coast of America and bringing dangerous flooding along long stretches of coast. The hurricane has been downgraded to a category 1 storm but still has winds of up to 137 km ph. Three deaths have been reported so far. A few cranes were working on a building yesterday. The wind was so strong it snapped one of them. Some people thought it was a flying missile. Thankfully nobody was hurt. A man went on a rampage in  Kanturk early Saturday morning and shot two dogs and seven horses. Limerick won the U21 All-Ireland Final in hurling yesterday in Semple Stadium in Thurles.
Cork won the All-Ireland camogie final after they beat Killkenny. In injury time they got a point in the sixty sixth minute.
The Tour U10 won the Mick Brown shield yesterday, the reason they won the trophy was because they beat all of their opponents.

The  men found on an Irish travellers' premises were about to be brought to Scandinavia, police believe, as new photographs were issued showing the horrible conditions in which they were kept.The  slaves, many of them British, were forced to carry out manual work .They were locked up in filthy caravans and horse boxes at the Green Acres caravan site in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, England .  On Monday night it was reported that more than 100 people were believed to have been held prisoner across the country as part of a slavery network targeting homeless and vulnerable men. There has also been raids at four other traveller  sites.The reason the family held the slaves in such reckless states is still unknown. 11 members of the family arrested and were given up to 80 years behind bars.  Eight British men aged from 30 to 57 were among the victims helping detectives. Three Polish men, a Latvian and a Lithuanian were also among the group due to be interviewed, as well as two whose nationality is not yet known. The youngest victim found on the site was a 17–year–old British boy who has since been returned to his family.

There was a shooting at Freeman High School in Washington yesterday. The shooter killed 1 student and injured 3 more. It is believed that the shooter was a student in Freeman High School. Tierna's brother Jack can't go to the Listowel Races, All-Ireland Final, or the Ploughing Championships because he is still in alot of pain after his appendix was removed Tuesday.

Dylan's mom Siobhán is going to the Listowel Races today because she is entering the Ladies Day Competition.

Emma's mom Julie is doing Adare to survive tomorrow and Emma hit her elbow of the chair at school.
